Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
For the rapture to happen, there's no prophecy to be fulfilled anymore. It can happen at anytime. We are the generation that saw the 2000 years and we can expect Christ to return at anytime.
Theologians believes that Christ died between AD32 - AD37,so that means we are now past 2000 years ( We are now after 2000 years). 2000 years according to God is 2 days. So that means we are now on the 3rd day and He will raise us up so that we may live in His sight, cos Christ was raised up on the 3rd day.
The Church was a mystery that God hid and now it is revealed.
There will be two 'Comings' of Jesus Christ - First, the Rapture, where all believers will be transformed and caught up to meet Jesus in the air.
Then the Second Coming of Jesus Christ will take place 7 years later after the Great Tribulation and Jesus's feet will touch the Mount of Olives and the mountain will split in two. Jesus will slay the Antichrist with the breath of His mouth.
As believers, we are not awaiting death, but are awaiting the coming of The Lord to enrapture us to be with Him forever.
Many people feel heavily invested in the things of this world and don't look forward to the Rapture, but those who love The Lord and what He does for them will fondly look forward to His coming.
All believers will stand before the "Bema Seat" of Christ to give an account of their lives and to receive their appropriate rewards from God.
The unbelievers will go through the Great White Throne Judgement and they will be lost forever and have their wrongdoings stacked up against them. A true believer will never be lost!
We as believers are like the 300 men of Gideon who scoop the water to drink it but are looking around and aware of their surroundings. The world does not control them.
2 Peter 3:3-9 - God already anticipated the words that scoffers will use today because they don't see any signs of Jesus's coming.
But God is delaying Jesus's coming because He is not willing for anyone to perish. This shows His heart of love towards us.
"knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."" (II Peter 3:3-9 NKJV)
There is a hell and it was designed for the devil and his angels, not for man. However when man first sinned, we were destined for hell, but through Jesus's sacrifice at the cross, all believers have complete forgiveness and received His righteousness.
If you honor Christ's sacrifice, come boldly to the throne of grace to receive what you need. We have access to God because of that sacrifice.
Jesus preached more on hell (the place of eternal torment where there is both darkness and fire) than any other preacher. It is because He loves us so much that He wants to save us from that terrible fate.
We are in God's third day right now. The Rapture can happen anytime
God took the most wicked act of man - choosing to free Barabbas the murderer instead of Jesus the Son of God, and even crucifying Jesus; and translated it into the greatest act of love for us.
He who does not have the Son, does not have life.
When Enoch's son, Methuselah (His name means "Judgement"
died, God sent the Great Flood immediately after to judge the world. Methuselah is the longest living man on earth - 969 years.
This shows God's heart of love that He withholds judgement because He is not willing that any should perish.
God always waits for the right timing to execute justice, to receive the greatest glory. Example: God parted the Red Sea through Moses, allowing the Israelites to walk through it, and destroyed the Egyptian armies by closing up the sea.
His glory is seen by the fact that we are still talking about this great feat even today!
History is Jesus's story - "His Story" - In our calendars - B.C. stands for "Before Christ" and A.D. stands for "Anno Domini (The Year of Our Lord)". It centers around Jesus!
Hosea 6:2 - God saves people through their receiving of Jesus as Lord and Savior for 2000 years, and in the 2000-3000 years period, God will enrapture the believers. We are in that period right now where Jesus can come back for us anytime.
"After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight." (Hosea 6:2 NKJV)
John 2:1-2 - The wedding takes place on the third day. We are in the third day of God's timing now, where Jesus could come receive His bride (the church) anytime once God says "Son, go get Your bride!"
"On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding." (John 2:1, 2 NKJV)
God made Jesus in the LIKENESS of sinful flesh. Jesus does not have the fallen nature of man like we do. On earth, He was tested with sin at all points, but not tempted - He has no desire to sin.
We have ultimate security in the impeccability of Christ - He cannot sin. We have a perfect High Priest forever.
Jesus will come back for Israel in God's Third Day
God wants to prosper you but don't let prosperity dominate you. We accumulate gold here on earth but in heaven we walk on gold! Get our priorities right.
Luke 10:29-37 - Jerusalem is the highest point of Israel and Jericho is the lowest point of planet earth. Man fell from the highest to the lowest point when he first sinned. Man without Christ is half-dead. Religion (the priest) cannot help man who is half-dead. Only Jesus (The Samaritan) saves us. God has compassion on us. If we are in a position of responsibility as a shepherd, if we spend what we have to help our flock, Jesus will reward us with even more when He comes again. The neighbor is Jesus. We are asked to love Jesus!
"But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”" (Luke 10:29-37 NKJV)
Abused people, abuse people. Hurt people, hurt people. People who behave that way have a background of pain and hurt on themselves.
Whenever we leave God, we go down.
The oceans and seas in the Bible represents the nations. Jonah represents Israel, and the mariners represent the Gentiles. Jonah was thrown into the sea by the mariners, and for 3 days and 3 nights Jonah was in the belly of the whale.
John 4:3-7 - Usually the Jews of Jesus's time on earth would avoid Samaria when they traveled because they considered the Gentile nations to be unclean.
However, Jesus had so much love for His people that He NEEDED TO go through Samaria to restore one Samaritan woman. Jesus loves each and every one of us with a personal relationship.
When Jesus convicts us of our sins, He does it in a loving way, not a condemning one. Instead of immediately pointing out and reprimanding the Samarian woman, He has a conversation with her that gradually leads to Him pointing out her need for salvation.
"He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. But He needed to go through Samaria. So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”" (John 4:3-7 NKJV)
In order to really feel loved, you need to know that the other person knows everything about you. If you have things hidden from him/her, you will never really feel loved.
Jesus reveals Himself to the people who realise their need for Him.
John 4:39-43 - Jesus has spent 2000-plus years with the Gentiles (represented by the Samaritans) up till now, and He will go back for Israel on the third day (Year 2000-3000 period).
"And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. And many more believed because of His own word. Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.” Now after the two days He departed from there and went to Galilee. (John 4:39-43 NKJV)
John 4:46-54 - Jesus is The Lord of time and space. We can receive what we need from Him right where we are at.
"So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!” Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household. This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee." (John 4:46-54 NKJV)
