Arsenal will be looking forward to forget their demolition at the Stamford Bridge against Chelsea as they host Swansea City in the premier league in the midweek clash.

Arsene Wenger’s 1000th game for the club ended with a demoralizing 6-0 loss as they were thumped by the hands of Chelsea on Saturday.

Having conceded three goals and being a man lesser right in the 17th minute of the game, referee Andre Marriner sent the wrong player- Gibbs instead of Alex Oxlade Chamberlain which will see Gibbs sidelined for the upcoming game.

The way Arsenal is getting defeated at the hands of top team also shows that they are almost out of the title race, however, they’d surely be looking forward to book a place in the top 4 to enjoy European football next season. They’ll be welcoming beleaguered Swansea City side at home turfs.

The loss in the last match puts Arsenal seven points behind league leaders Chelsea while a win this term will help them reduce the gap to four points which makes European hopes alive.

Having won 10 and drawn 3 out of their 13 games in the premier league, Arsenal have went on to progress impressively at home after the 3-1 defeat against Aston Villa at the opening day.

On the other hand, Swansea City have been really poor away home having drawn three and lost six in their last nine away matches in top flight this season.

Garry Monk has not won a game in all competitions after a 3-0 win over Cardiff City during his first game in charge on February 8th.

Ranked 15th in the premier league table, they are just four points away from the relegation danger while a 3-2 loss against Everton has shattered them more this year as they don’t have a win in any of their last eight matches.

Michu, whose double earned a victory on the first day incharge for Monk will be making a return and he’ll surely be looking forward to get a key role in the game.

Jonjo Shelvey will also be playing for the Swansea side after recovering from a hamstring problem while Oxalade Chamberlain is set to be suspended for the hosts. Midfield trio Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Ramsey are all out injured for the home side.
