A fight broke out between two Hausa men in the northern part of Nigeria following a tense argument about president Muhammadu Buhari.

In a trending video posted online (watch below), the younger man (in black shirt) was telling his colleague how bad the situation of the country is, and why he has no reason to support president Buhari in the 2019 election.

The other man (in white shirt) who appears to be a staunch supporter of Buhari - cautioned him to leave out the president out of the matter and that he has performed well.

In the course of the argument, they started hurling insults at each other including bring their parents into the matter.

This resulted into a fight with punches thrown at each other before they were separated by those around.

Strange things of ember month.

I have heard about car and truck break failure but not of caterpillar.

This happened along Golden Tulip Hotels road Agulu by Agulu Lake, a caterpillar which lost control on descend of the hill firstly knocked down a motorcycle before shattering a gulf with two persons onboard. An eyewitness said that the driver of the gulf on seeing the situation of the caterpillar tried to sway through but ran into a gutter which was where the caterpillar tried to use them as wedge but somersaulted after crushing it.

What marveled everyone who stopped by was how these guys all came out unharmed in spite of the total wreckage of the vehicle including the motorcyclist.

Truly, God is still working....

We may be good drivers but it takes the grace of God to guard and navigate us through... May God help us that we may not be victims of ember month

"Ayogu Eze And The Allegation Of Embezzlement, Opposition Is Not Madness"

.

I read with awe a malicious, spurious and diversionary write up on the Facebook wall of one Ene Victor Chukwudi that the distinguished senator, Senator Ayogu Eze embezzled both FERMA(federal road maintenance agency) funds and the one budgeted by the then ministry of works for the construction of a federal road project.
The said article or rather fabrication, was concocted by one Mr Jackson Ude.

A quick survey showed that the same Mr Jackson Ude was behind a blog named Pointblanknews.com that carried similar malicious fabrication against the person of the then coordinating minister, Mrs Okonjo Iweala.
It's on record that the minister never hesitated dragging the blogger to court where the court awarded the sum of #20m against the blogger for fabricating libellous information meant to tarnish the image of the minister.

After reading the disjointed article typical of one written under duress, I advised Mr Ene to pull it down. Sadly, few hours after the chat, the police acting on a petition by an aide to the Anambra state governor, arrested Mr Ene for character assassination.

On the allegation proper, the honorable senator was accused of embezzling funds allocated to FERMA for road maintenance nationwide. With all sincerity, any discerning mind should be able to deduce the inscription on the wall and see the allegation to be a mere political gimmick and nothing but a figment of the initiator's
imagination. Getting the record straight, senator Ayogu was never a managing director of the federal road maintenance agency.
How these people that have decided to carve a niche in mischief making came to the conclusion that the Senator embezzled funds allocated to a different agency could be expatiated by them.

Again, they accused the honorable gentleman of embezzling funds meant for the construction of the Ogrute-Umuida-Odoru federal road.
It's regrettably sardonic that a leader who fought tirelessly for the betterment of his people is being accused wrongly in the name of partisan politics.

The said project that the mischief makers are using as a tool to tarnish the good image of the Senator was attracted by him.
This is sacrilegious and an ugly trend unprecedented in Igbo land.
In Igbo land, we do not repay a good deed with evil acts.

It seems that what actually got the senator's traducers 'aroused' was the fact that he headed the senate committee on works, which they are now using as a gambit to launch vituperations on his person.
For avoidance of doubt, the senate committee on works is one of the 57 Senate committees solely saddled with an OVERSIGHT FUNCTION.

The office of the committee chairmen are not funded to execute projects.
The said road project was attracted by the honorable senator, captured and appropriated under the ministry of works, awarded to a contractor named PW Nigeria limited and funded by the ministry of finance.
Why is the growing popularity and acceptance of Ayogu Eze by many well meaning people of the state unsettling the camp of the incumbent government that they are hellbent on roping him into the abandoning of a federal road project?

Have they established from the ministry of works how much was appropriated for the project and how much was released by ministry of finance to ascertain if the project was adequately funded?

Is the state government implying that, in any abandoned project, funds have been embezzled?
Can we now rightly posit that with the avalanche of the state government abandoned projects, that the funds meant their for completion has been embezzled?

Opposition is and will never be madness. Ayogu Eze is unperturbed; neither will he be distracted in his quest to cleanse the state and restore it to the part of glory.
The gimmicks of praise singers, whose lips have been paid for to disseminate falsehood will never deter us from telling the people the truth in our faintest voice.
ENUGU SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN!!

Nigeria's Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was seen interacting with passengers in a commercial boat at CMS terminal en route Apapa for Federal Ministry of Transportation Management meeting in Lagos. Mr, Amaechi was in Apapa over the weekend to inspect the passage of the railway which will cut across from the sea-port to other locations across the state.

The reason why he decided to take a boat and not his regular car may likely be the heavy traffic that is associated with the Apapa-Wharf road all thanks to the trailers and tankers around this route.

The former Governor of old Anambra State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Jim Nwobodo, has applauded Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for his commitment and contributions to the remarkable feats recorded by the Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, in lifting the 2015/2016 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) trophy and 2018 AITEO Cup after 32 years and 35 years, respectively.

Group Accuses Atiku Of Tax Evasion, Asks FIRS To Release His Record

$

The Committee for the Protection of Peoples Mandate (CPPM), an activist group, has demanded that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) produce tax receipts belonging to Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a letter sent to the FIRS dated November 16, and signed by Nelson Ekujumi, the group’s national coordinator, Abubakar was accused of evading tax for several years.

The group said he only paid the backlog from 2015 to 2017 in order to meet up with the requirements of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest the presidential election.

CPPM alleged that Abubakar only used his 2017 tax receipt to fill the presidential nomination forms.

A copy of Abubakar’s tax clearance certificate showed that the PDP presidential candidate was issued the certificate on April 19, 2018, for payment of his personal income tax for 2015, 2016, and 2017.

A separate receipt was issued by the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCTIRS) for N4 million paid as tax for the year 2017.

The payment date captured on the receipt was April 12, 2018.

The group threatened to take the matter to court if the FIRS did not honour its request for the tax receipts, to prove whether Atiku paid his taxes at the right time or not.

“We are Nigerians committed to enthrone honesty and integrity in public office and the sustenance of true democracy,” the letter read.

“It is in this regard that we write to you under Section 1 (1) and (2) and Section 4(a) of the Freedom of Information Act to make available to us the 2015 and 2016 Personal Income Tax receipts of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 Presidential elections.

“Information at our disposal is that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar DID NOT PAY HIS Personal Income Tax for several years and only ran to the FIRS in April this year to pay the back-log of only his 2015 – 2017 taxes to meet up with the requirements of INEC. Hence, in filing his INEC forms, he only produced his receipt for 2017 tax which was paid in April, 2018.

“As someone who continuously says he is interested in getting Nigeria and its economy working again, it is important Nigerians know whether he has been paying his Personal Income Taxes AS AT WHEN DUE.

“Consequently, we request for his 2015 and 2016 Tax receipts to ascertain whether he paid his taxes AS AT WHEN DUE.

“TAKE NOTICE that you are to meet our demands within SEVEN (7) working days of the receipt of this letter.”

However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Yung6ix said he was not depressed.

The hustle doesn’t stop. If you give into challenges, you will fall. But if you brace up and face them, you will rise way higher than you were before,” he said.

Offering advice to people from his experience, the rapper said,

“My advice to people is this – don’t put your money in any crypto currency company that does not have an office or customer care service.”

Reacting to the claim that he doesn’t make his money from music, the rapper asked,

“If music doesn’t pay my bills, what will pay it? God has been good to me. In the last 20 months, I have had three endorsement deals and four tours across six countries. I honestly cannot complain. The bitcoin was one of my best investments. I actually lost most of the money I got from the Patricia endorsement to it but it is a minor setback. God will not give you a challenge you cannot handle. I have been in worse situations and I overcame them.”

Alleged Ganduje Bribes: Fayose Accuses Buhari, EFCC Of Double Standard

$

0
Former Governor Ayodele Fayose has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari and the acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu, for their refusal to investigate the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, over the bribes he allegedly collected from some contractors.

Fayose said Buhari and the EFCC boss had not hidden it from Nigerians that they were hypocritical in their war against corruption.

The former Ekiti State governor spoke through his media aide, Mr Lere Olayinka, in an interview with our correspondent in Lagos.

Recently, video clips surfaced online, alleging that the Kano State governor collected bribes in hard currency from a contractor.

Ganduje had, however, denied the allegations, describing the alleged bribery as the handiwork of mischief makers.

But Fayose argued that Magu gave himself out with the way he answered questions on the issue put across to him by journalists during a press briefing last week.

The ex-governor stated, “They will not do anything about the alleged bribery video. The last time the EFCC chairman addressed journalists, he was asked questions on the video and he parried the questions. He later said the matter was already in court and that the commission had not received any petition to investigate the allegation.

“The question on the lips of everybody now is that who petitioned the EFCC before they started investigating some of those being investigated?

“What has the EFCC done to the petitions against the All Progressives Congress leaders? Ekiti State House of Assembly submitted a petition against Dr Kayode Fayemi. What did the EFCC do about the petition? Fayemi was not governor then.”

Fayose said the same government that had refused to investigate the alleged bribery against a governor on the platform of the APC despite the documentary evidence available would not hesitate to wage war against members of the opposition even without any allegation against them.

He added, “In 2015, Buhari praised former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso for transforming Kano State but the same Kwankwaso (now) is the one he openly accused of using public funds to fund presidential campaign. President Buhari went on to commend Ganduje; that he is a good governor and that the people love him. So, what do you expect from that kind of government?

“They won’t investigate Ganduje. What have they done to Babachir Lawal, the popular grass cutter? What have they done to the NHIS boss? That one was suspended and Buhari had to reinstate him. What have they done to Abba Kyari despite so many allegations against him?

If anybody thinks this government is fighting corruption, then that person needs to go back to sleep and wake up properly to know that he has been dreaming.
