OBASANJO as President giving orders for police to shoot hoodlums at sight. PDP did not condemn that but they are accusing PMB for only saying ballot box snatchers would do that at the expense of their lives.

One question that comes to my mind is;''Why are some people jittery over this order? are they planning to snatch Ballot Boxes''

The multimillionaire and popular fashion designer and business mogul shared video of her shaking everything out from her waiste.

I have never seen a celebrity that twerk like this before, her shaking of Yansh was something else. Many wondered if she is competing with the likes of Janemena and Shallymhiz. I think Toyin is a better twerker than them.

Nigerian Arrested For Fraud In The UK Wants To Contest Ekiti Assembly Seat

kissGuys, guess under which Party platform he is running? Bearing in mind he jumped bail in the UK after November 24th 2018 to now appear in Nigeria seeking elective political office only 3 months later. Which Party is unprincipled and callous enough to now give this criminal a ticket to represent our people?

ALERT: Nigerian Arrested For Fraud In The UK Wants To Contest Ekiti Assembly Seat

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has been asked to probe allegations of financial crimes said to have been committed by a House of Assembly aspirant in Ekiti State, Otunba Lekan Akinleye.

The candidate, who seeks to be a lawmaker in the Ekiti State Assembly, was declared wanted by the London Metropolitan Police after he had jumped bail while awaiting trial for cross border crimes.

A petition by the Civil Society Network Against Corruption (CSNAC), a coalition of over 150 civil right groups want the EFCC to investigate the grievous allegations.

The Chairman of CSNAC, Olanrewaju Saraj, on behalf of the group stated that Nigerians deserve to know if the man they may elect as a lawmaker in Nigeria has indeed flouted the legal provisions in England and other international conventions against illicit funds.

Akinleye was been accused of impersonating a business tycoon, Tony Woods, alongside his wife Stephanie Woods, leading to his defrauding unsuspecting potential investors.

The money was said to run into hundreds of British pounds.

He was said to have been arrested on November 24 by the Paddington State Police in London.

Sources said Akinleye jumped bail and reappeared in Nigeria, where he now wants to emerge as one of Nigeria's potential statesmen.

CSNAC said: "We strongly believe that the above allegation is one deserving of thorough, immediate and urgent investigation; the citizens during every election period vote candidate they believe to hold integrity, selflessness and honesty as virtues.

"The case in point is very critical and fundamental to the choice to be made by the electorate in relation to the forthcoming election. The public deserves the veracity or otherwise of the allegations in deciding who to vote into lawmaking chamber because voting a fraudulent or fugitive individual into power is a disaster waiting to befall the nation."

CSNAC said though the law presumes any allegation as a suspicion until the suspect is so proven guilty, the electorate is anxious to see transparency and accountability actualised and due process deployed in investigating corruption and financial crimes.

It added: "We hereby appeal that the EFCC uses its good office to ensure that this matter is properly, effectively and painstakingly investigated with the view to forestalling fraudulent and likely corrupt individuals from getting elected into positions of authority."

A 6-year-old girl identified as Angel, from Akwa Ibom State, but resident in Obiofia-Nnewichi, Nnewi, with her parents, was allegedly defiled by a 40-year-old man identified simply as Chukwudi, aka Alaukpor from Ukpor, Nnewi South LGA.

MAN DEFILES 6-YEAR- OLD GIRL IN NNEWI, ANAMBRA STATE

The incident took place Obiofia-Nnewichi, Nnewi in Anambra State penultimate week.

The mother of the victim, who introduced herself as Mrs. Peterson, a petty trader in Nnewi, told Anaedooline that she was in her shop with the little Angel the fateful day when she sent the little girl to get a lantern from their house for evening business.

According to her, it took the little girl a very long time to return to the shop. She said that she noticed the strange way her daughter was walking, but overlooked it.

She continued: “After the night’s business, we went home. It was my husband that noticed that some fluid was coming out from her vagina. He called my attention to that, I cleaned it and slept. In the morning, my husband called his sister, who was a nurse and explained the situation. She advised that we should consult a medical doctor for advice. When we met a doctor, he conducted a test and told us that the fluid was sperm.

“We had to call the little girl and asked her questions. She told us that Chukwudi, our neighbor, called her inside his room and had sex with her the night she was sent to get a lantern.

“We confronted Chukwudi but he denied. We reported the incident to community vigilante group in Umuogbo-Obiofia, Nnewichi, Nnewi for necessary actions”.

Mrs. Peterson further said that since the incident was reported, the family is yet to see any action taken by the vigilante.

She said that the culprit, Chukwudi, a widower and father of two, has run away from the yard since the incident took place, and has refused to return to Nnewi since then.

Buhari’s Man, Others Defect To PDP

BARELY three days to the rescheduled general elections, the Sokoto state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has made a big catch into its fold as Alhaji Sani Muhammad Gobirawa, Northwest Zonal Vice President of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners and top notch of the Buhari Support Organisation(BSO) “Buhari Sak” in Sokoto defects from APC.

Gobirawa who currently is at the vanguard as Vice Chairman of the Aminu Waziri Tambuwal(AMATA) Support Group exclusively told The Nation in Sokoto Wednesday that his defection along with others in the BSO was voluntary and based on their conviction that PDP is the most fulfilling political platform that symbolises the democracy for Nigeria to work again.

” Our decision to join PDP was purely based on our firm conviction of the ability and capability of Governor Aminu’s reality and myth, as such, we don’t need the approval or inclination of any family to actualize our political aspirations”, he pointed out.

According to the Pensioners top echelon who similarly seized opportunity to clear the air on some misinformation on his defection, said ” I have to put it straight to the people of the state and to shame doubting Thomases that as a Nigerian and an adult with my senses, I can decide on which party to join without associating my actions to any family.

” This clarification has become necessary for Sokoto people to discountenance insinuations from some quarters associated with family issue”, he explained.

The political opinion leader and elder who also holds a traditional title of ‘ Wakilin Gwiwa and Walin Dabagin Ardo’ in the state continued, ” when I joined BSO I did not seek the permission nor associated my membership to any family.”

Gobirawa however, urged the public to focus on issues and not personality as to the issue of choice in a democratic setting where a citizen has the right to freely associate and express his wish as to his or her aspiration.

He said his group remain determined and focused with resilience for the success of PDP and for the reelection of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

” I wish to reaffirm the commitment of our group and we remain firm and resolute behind the PDP under Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal from the grassroots up to the National level for the good of the people and the coming generations yet unborn. I also urge the people of Sokoto state to continue to extend their support to the Governor so that he can transform the state and return it’s lost glory.“

Polls Shift: Trouble Brews As Governor Orders Aides To Return Mobilisation Funds

$

There is uneasy calm in Niger State following directive by the state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, to commissioners, asking them to immediately refund monies that were advanced to them to mobilise voters for last Saturday’s botched elections.

It was gathered that all commissioners and permanent secretaries were given an undisclosed amount of money ahead of last Saturday’s botched elections to enable them mobilise voters before it was postponed.

Although the commissioners and the permanent secretaries were said to have actually travelled to their respective constituencies for the election, and had expended the money for the purpose it was allocated, they were asked to go and retrieve the money since the election could not take place.

A source close to some of the commissioners told Daily Sun in Minna, yesterday, that they got a message from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, on Monday, requesting them to return the money.

“We got message, yesterday, that we should return the money that was given to us to mobilise voters for the elections, and we told them we had already given out the money before we heard about the postponement.

“But, they said we should go and retrieve the money from the people. Nobody will be ready to refund such money, in fact, nobody will listen to you. This Saturday, the same voters will be expecting another money from us. They’ve even told us that the money had been spent,” the source said.

Daily Sun gathered that the commissioners were seen making frantic efforts and making contact with each other, yesterday, on the way forward since they claimed to have utilised the funds.

When contacted on this latest development, the Media and Publicly Coordinator to the Governor, Mr. Jide Orintunsin, said it is a usual norm all over the world for political appointees to be mobilised ahead of elections, to go to their various constituencies to ensure victory for their party.

Orintunsin insisted there was nothing new about asking political appointees to go and woo the electorates to ensure victory for the party, stressing that “what I don’t know is asking them to refund the money given to them if there was any.

“In the first place, I’m not aware of any money that was given to political appointees to go and woo the people, not to talk of refund. But, remember they are expected to go back on Saturday to mobilise their people to ensure victory for the party.”

Ex Bread Seller Turned Model, Olajumoke, Faces Hard Times, Relationship Threatened

$

The fairy tale rise-to- fame of Olajumoke Orisaguna in 2016 inspired millions of Nigerians, captured the interest of international media and served as a prayer point for many who desired such overnight transformation.

Olajumoke became the modern-day Nigerian Cinderella when she accidentally strayed into a photo shoot helmed by TY Bello, a Nigerian singer/photographer, while hawking bread on Olonode Street, Yaba, Lagos.

Following her accidental encounter with the photo shoot, TY Bello and Azuka Ogujiuba, a former senior reporter with THISDAY Style, collaborated to make a model and celebrity out of Olajumoke.

Subsequently, companies rolled over themselves to favour the 30-year-old. At the end of the media blitz which included features on CNN and BBC, the bread seller got a five-year rent of a fully furnished apartment bankrolled by Sujimoto, a luxury apartment construction company. She also secured modelling contracts with e-commerce company, Payporte, and Zenith Bakery.

The interventions and series of accompanying developments saw the fortune of the bread seller take a leap – but three years down the line, things are not as rosy as expected in the life of the mother of two.

eelive can reveal that she is struggling economically and her relationship with Sunday Orisaguna, the lover for whom she has her two children, is on its way south as well.

At the moment, Olajumoke cannot boast of any concrete means of livelihood. At home, things are not easy. Sunday said life has been incredibly tough, and that help is farther from him because many people assume that Olajumoke has made it big, and that consequently, he’s also rich.

He lamented that Olajumoke and her family have refused to agree to the formalization of their relationship despite having two children together.

Although Olajumoke and her erstwhile manager, Azuka Ogujiuba, would not discuss the details of their parting of ways, both maintained that they remain friendly and accessible to one another.

Sources close to both parties, however, insist that the severance of their relationship has left the former bread seller at sea.

This suspicion was confirmed by Sunday who told eelive that “I think she was better when she was with Azuka because Azuka and TY Bello have great connections that paid Olajumoke more”.

Sunday also complained that he is often kept out of the loop of Olajumoke’s activities.

He said: “I just know her manager calls her, they go out and return late. Sometimes she returns as late as past 12am and without explanations. She doesn’t even tell me where they go and what happens.”

The former bread seller herself confirmed that things are not as promising as they were three years ago.

Although she has no job and savings, Olajumoke spoke of her desire to have a home of her own before the existing rent expires in two years and to establish a haircare business before the end of 2019.
