Police Announce Locations Shortlisted Candidates Can Check Their Names

The FCT Police Command on Friday informed all applicants who applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force to check their names at their respective Area Councils.

This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by DSP Anjuguri Manzah, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for FCT.

“The list of shortlisted candidates has been pasted at their Area Councils,” he said.

“The Screening exercise will commence at the FCT Police Command Headquarters Garki, Abuja as from Monday 1st July, to Saturday 20th July, 2019 by 7:00am prompt.

“Shortlisted candidates are advised to report at the screening center on the date indicated against their names.

“Candidates mode of dressing for the exercise is white T-shirt on white short knickers.

“They are to come along with the original and photocopies of their credentials, office file, passport photographs and printout copy of the letter of invitation for the exercise.”

The Police Service Commission (PSC) had announced that screening of shortlisted applicants for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Constables will begin nationwide on Monday, July 1, 2019.

Buhari’s Cabinet: Scramble For Appointment Hits Imo APC

Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State are currently trading words as Nigerians await Muhammadu Buhari’s naming of his cabinet members.

The APC members are locking horns over the ministerial slot for the State, leading to petitions and counter-petitions.

Some APC support groups in the State, in a petition made available to DAILY POST, which was addressed to President Buhari, asked him not to consider the duo of former Imo Deputy-governor and former Senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly as ministers.

In separate letters to the President, the groups, Imo APC Footsoldiers, Imo Patriots’ Front and Concerned Imo APC Stakeholders, alleged among other things that the duo of Senator Hope Uzodimma and Prince Eze Madumere were not inclined to the Next Level manifesto of the President, and therefore would be wrong casts to represent Imo State on the Federal Executive Council.

The Imo Concerned APC Stakeholders advised the President to demand the polling booth, ward and LGA results of those angling to be appointed ministers.

The group argued that “a minister needs to be politically strong and trustworthy among his people, in order to, apart from helping to actualize the President’s vision in his second term, also help in rebuilding the Party in the State, considering the poor showing of the Party in the last elections.”

The group also accused some people it described as ‘Party hijackers’ of being responsible for the Party’s poor showing in the last elections, especially, the Presidential and National Assembly elections, where the APC only won two House of Representatives seats and one Senate seat.

The group gave credit to the leadership of the immediate past governor of the State, Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha for helping to sustain the Party in the State.

The Imo Patriots’ Front, who wrote specifically against the nomination of the immediate past Deputy-governor of the State as minister alleged among other things that “Madumere is politically weak and could not win his polling booth in all the elections of 2019.”

Another group, the Imo APC Footsoldiers adduced ten reasons Senator Hope Uzodimma is not eligible to serve in the Next Level cabinet.

The group accused Chief Uzodimma of being behind the poor showing of the Party in the State, and also of unable to “clear his name of several allegations bordering on graft, certificate forgery and breach of contract.”

They argued that the President would be rewarding indolence by appointing the Omuma-born former lawmaker as a minister.

Nigerian Midfielder, Oluwseyi Joseph Signs 4-Year Deal With Rangers

Rangers beat Arsenal to signed Nigerian descent Joseph Oluwaseyi Temitope Ayodele-Aribo on a four-year deal until 2022 season.

The 22-year-old midfielder made 97 appearances and scored 16 goals for Charlton and helped them win promotion to the Championship last term through the playoffs has been linked with possible moves to Arsenal, Manchester City, Celtic as well as teams in France, Germany and Portugal before he agreed on terms and a move to Ibrox Stadium.

Aribo who plays as an attacking midfielder, started his career at Staines Town, impressing to win their academy Player of the Year Award in 2014 and be offered a trial at Charlton.

Speaking about his new signing manager Steven Gerrard told the club official website saying: "There were a lot of clubs in for Joe around Europe, in the Premier League and the Championship. There was a lot of interest in him but for me it’s just another top player joining Rangers.
"He’s mobile, dynamic, can burst past a player and create and score goals. There is room for him to develop but he’ll give us something we’ve not got in the midfield department.

"He’s left-footed, which is something we don’t have in our midfield at the moment so he’ll give us more balance. We have a good midfield but currently we don’t have a player with Joe’s characteristics.
"He is tall, athletic and quick. He’s a box-to-box player and is not afraid to open the door when he gets around the box and he can unlock defences.

"We’re confident we can turn Joe into an even better player and I’m really looking forward to working with him.
"He’s still young and we firmly believe there is a lot to come from him, but we need to be patient in order to allow him to continue his development and to improve as a player with the club.”

Rangers have signed Sheyi Ojo, Steven Davis, Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie and Greg Stewart already this summer will begin their season in the Europa League next month and will face either Prishtina or St Joseph's in the first qualifying round first leg on 11 July.

If you have an inquisitive mind like I do, you might be wondering ; why most traffic lights have the colours red,yellow and green ; why most commercial passenger planes are painted white ; and why tyres are black.

These are not mere coincidences, and these colours were not chosen because they look “good”.
Let’s find out why these “standard” colours are used

Planes
Although very few planes(private and commercial) use other colours like black and blue, most planes make use of the colour white. There is a very reasonable explanation for this.
When planes fly in the sky, they are exposed to very large amounts of radiation and heat from the sun.White ( and other light colours) reflect heat and radiation, better than darker colours, but white is one of the colours that does this best.It helps airline companies save on cooling cost and also protects parts of the plane that can easily get damaged by heat or solar radiation.
You can experiment this phenomenon very simply at home on a sunny day, by trying on a white outfit, then a black outfit of similar material, trust me the difference would be very clear.You would feel cooler and sweat less in the white outfit.

Traffic Lights
From nursery school most of us have been taught that RED means stop, YELLOW means ready and GREEN means go!. We have adapted to these colours denoting their various meanings, but they have not always being this way.
There was a time when traffic lights were initially just red(stop) and white(go), they were primarily used for trains.Train drivers often mistook nearby or surrounding white lights from other sources as the “go” signal.This prompted a change.

Red was chosen as the stop sign/colour, because it has a higher wavelength, which means it can travel farther.Yellow has a shorter wavelength compared to red, but a longer wavelength compared to green.

Tyres
Very few people know this, but tyres have not always being black, they used to be white !. This is so because, the natural colour of rubber is white.
Because early tyres were very inefficient, they had a mileage of about 5000 miles, in the early 1900s scientist came up with a solution to add carbon black to tyres, this made them stronger and more durable, it also gave them the black colour.

Nigerian Yahoo Girl Bags 8-Month Jail Sentence (Photo)

A yahoo girl identified as Isaac Christiana Nkemdirim has bagged an 8-months jail sentence, after being arraigned by the EFCC. 

The yahoo girl who bagged an 8-months jail sentence, pleaded guilty to the one count charge of obtaining by false pretence contrary to Section 15(2)(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2002 as amended and punishable under 15(3) of the same Act.  The statement by EFCC reads in part;

"The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office today, June 28, 2019 secured the conviction of Isaac Christiana Nkemdirim before Justice M.G. Umar of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State. Nkemdirim was convicted on a one count charge of obtaining by false pretence contrary to Section 15(2)(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2002 as amended and punishable under 15(3) of the same Act.

Upon her arraignment, Nkemdirim pleaded guilty to the charge. Based on her plea, the prosecution counsel, Fredrick O. Dibang prayed the court to convict and sentence the defendant accordingly. However, the defence counsel prayed the court to temper justice with mercy as his client was a first time offender and a youth who has promise never to go back to the crime. Justice M.G. Umar thereafter convicted and sentenced the defendant to eight ( months imprisonment without an option of fine.)"

I’m Not Handling ‘Ruga’ Programme - Osinbajo Faults Miyetti Allah’s Claim

The Office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has faulted claims by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria that Osinbajo’s office is in charge of implementing the Ruga settlement initiative across the country.

The General Secretary of MACBAN, Baba Uthman Ngelzarma, had said Osinbajo’s office was in charge of implementing the programme nationwide.

He had said, “This Ruga settlement model is a component part of the livestock development and transformation plan that is being implemented under the Office of the Vice-President. It is a component part of it.

“All must agree with me that the crisis we are facing today has become a multi-dimensional one and so the approach must also be holistic. It was the desire of the Federal Government to take a holistic approach that gave birth to the Ruga settlement model and it is not only for Fulani herders.”

However, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, said in a tweet on Friday that the programme being handled by Osinbajo was different from the one being referred to by Miyetti Allah.

Akande said the National Livestock Transformation Plan, which had been endorsed by the National Economic Council, was different from the Ruga programme

He tweeted, “Contrary to claims reported in sections of the media, Ruga settlements are not being supervised by the Office of the Vice President. Ruga is different from the National Livestock

Transformation Plan approved by state governors under the auspices of the National Economic Council.
“On the National Livestock Transformation Plan, 13 States are already in the process of implementation of a plan to transform the livestock production system in Nigeria along market-oriented value chain while ensuring an atmosphere of peace and justice.

“The states are Adamawa, Benue, Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba, Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Ondo, and Edo. These states are at different stages in the process but have indicated readiness to implement the plan. Truth is: this Federal Government will not impose on any state government regarding its land.

“NEC okayed the plan based on the recommendation of a technical committee of the council chaired by Ebonyi State Governor Umahi. Other state governors who were on the committee and working group are Adamawa, Kaduna, Benue, Taraba, Edo, Plateau, Oyo and Zamfara-mostly the frontline states.”

Nigerian Man Kidnaps, Murders And Burns A Lady In The U.S (Photos)

A Nigerian man, Ayoola Adisa Ajayi, who has worked as a model, claims to be an IT specialist, and once wrote a novel about a murder, has been arrested for killing a 23-year-old University of Utah student, MacKenzie Lueck. .

Lueck was last seen on June 17, 2019. Ajayi, 31, has now been charged with aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping, desecration of a human body and obstruction of justice.

During a search of the suspect’s property, the police found a burned area that contained charred items consistent with personal items of Lueck. .

Horrifically, “female human tissue,” was then also found, and it matched via DNA testing to MacKenzie Lueck, the chief revealed in a news conference. .

The suspect’s neighbors had told detectives they allegedly saw Ajayi “burning something in his back yard with the use of gasoline” on June 17 and 18.

Other charred material was located which has now been forensically determined to be female human tissue. He also sold a mattress online in an attempt to get rid of the evidence

Lueck’s last communications were with Ajayi, who was briefly a member of the Utah Army National Guard in the past, but he was discharged.

The location of the deceased’s and Ajayi’s phones pinged at a park within less than a minute of each other, at which time her phone stopped receiving data around 3 a.m. on June 17. .

The motive was not clear. Ajayi’s booking record in the jail, says he was born in Nigeria. His book, "Forge Identity," chronicles the experiences of a young man who witnesses two murders in his life and must go on to decide whether to pursue a criminal life or define his own path in life.

Busola Dakolo: RMD Reacts To Rape Allegation Against COZA Pastor

Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo has aired his views on the trending case of Timi Dakolo’s wife rape scandal.

RMD as he is fondly called urged those criticising Busola Dakolo, who early on Friday in an interview revealed that she was raped by pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, of COZA ministries, not to be too quick to judge her.

He added that Timi Dakolo is a real man for standing besides his wife to help me through this trying times.

In an Instagram post, he wrote:

“Two sides to a story does NOT invalidate the truth of the abused, the molested, the hurting. Do NOT be quick to rebut someone’s pain. Do NOT speak too hastily for someone who can speak for themselves. Do NOT expect a rape story to make sense to you because when a predator strikes, the circumstances are not his first thoughts.

With the buzz and momentum from Busola Dakolo's rape allegations against COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, another pastor has privately apologised to his victim for raping her many years ago.

According to the Whatsapp Chat shared on Twitter by the victim @sisiarinola, the pastor simply identified as Kenny is seen pleading for his action and also went on to say calling him out on social media can’t damage him.

While at it Georgina Onuoha, a single mother of two teenage girl revealed how she was almost raped my a Catholic priest at age 22.

“Woke up to this and my heart sunk reading some of the commentaries by ignorant Nigerians. As developed as the United States is, rape victims still struggle to speak up knowing the backlash they will face and wondering if anyone will believe them or not.

For the miscreants questioning the timing of her story, I hope you understand the gravity of trauma most rape victims go through.Dear Nigerians and Christians, stop believing in your pastors, priests, and spiritual leaders. Take their preachings and evaluate their morals. Remember pastors are men and will always prey on the helpless, naive and vulnerable. Don’t trust no man or spiritual leader as a supreme being.

They are human and hence fallible. Being a man of God doesn’t mean they will not do their best to take advantage of you sexually, emotionally, financially and otherwise.

As a Catholic, I have witnessed first hand how those you love will cross boundaries to a point of wanting to sexually assault you.

Yes, as a young woman who acquired fame at a young age, these phonies will want to take advantage of you all in the name of wanting to guide you spiritually.

At age 22, a priest almost raped me unfortunately for him, I might have appeared naive and soften spoken boy was I raised Army strong with a warrior spirit. I told him not today and not never. I moved past that but not every woman has same fighting spirit. Some are damaged for life while others take a different path to self destruction because they can’t cope with the trauma they experience.

Don’t be quick to condemn a woman telling her painful story of rape and defend a Pastor you know nothing about. That they stand on that pulpit does not mean they are holy.

Many have the grace to minister but the flesh thrives on the power and authority they hold. Trust no pastor or priest with your wives, daughters and loved ones. Go to church listen to the gospel and go home and live according to Christ teachings. Stop worshipping your pastors. Stop venerating your priest.

Love them from afar and pray for them.

Lots of wolves in sheep clothings.

Spiritual leaders are suppose to give guidance and moral support to their community but most have become predators.”

Ese Walter, the lady who first publicly accused Pastor Fatoyinbo of rape, has reacted to the Busola Dakolo's rape allegation against the COZA Founder. 

Ese Walter had in 2013, confessed to having had an affair with the church’s Senior Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, another former female member has come out with claims of her alleged encounter with the pastor in a hotel in Lagos. Unmarried then, the former COZA member had sent social media alight after she alleged in a blog post that she had a week-long sexual relationship with the pastor during his London visit. Ms. Walter, who admitted that the relationship was consensual, however said she felt “abused and manipulated” by Mr. Fatoyinbo and the fleeting manner the church’s leadership handled the affair after she raised it with another pastor in the church.

Ese Walter who reacted to the Busola Dakolo's rape allegation against Pastor Fatoyinbo, said she was first wondering what she had a surge in friend requests. However when told that the world owes her an apology for not believing her when she went public with the rape allegation in 2013, she revealed that she has moved past that as all she needs now is a phone as hers crashed.
