Firm Launches Lacy Lingerie For Men
Firm Launches Lingerie Line Of Lacy Thongs, Bras And Teddies - Just For MEN
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2313384/Would-YOUR-man-wear-frilly-knickers-HommeMystere-launch-lingerie-line-lacy-thongs-bras-MEN.html
With the exception of the adventurous few, indulging in a passion for pink, lacy lingerie has been the preserve of women. Until now.
One fashion firm hopes to change the way we shop for underwear with the launch of a range of racy lingerie exclusively for men.
The HommeMystere collection, which includes padded bras, lacy teddies and frilly thongs with names like Jungle Fever, Moulin Rouge and Forget-me-not, is said by the firm to be 'comfortable' and 'great for all day wear'.
They specialise in, they say, 'comfortable men's panties that really do fit, bra straps that don't fall off the shoulder, teddies that don't ride up halfway through the night and quality soft fabrics that feel great for all day wear'.
The Australian label - which has distributors in the UK and U.S. - say attractive undergarments feel great and make dressing more fun and enjoyable for men.
They say they understand that men want 'quality lingerie style underwear made with care, attention to detail' that fits your body perfectly'.
The brand itself not new but has gained a recent surge of publicity thanks to a video of its recent runway show at the International Fashion Show in Las Vegas which took place this month.
The video features an array of pouting men modelling the range, strutting up and down the catwalk clenching their buttocks, doing body rolls and posing.
'We provide our lingerie for guys. We are not concerned if you are gay, straight, vegetarian, republican, anglican, martian or any other persuasion'
While cross-dressing is not specific to intimate preferences, HommeMystere's advertising images are of men and women posing as a couple.
In their FAQ section they address this, saying they cater to all customers - whether straight or gay.
'We provide our lingerie for guys,' they say. 'We are not concerned if you are gay, straight, vegetarian, republican, anglican, martian or any other persuasion.
'We just design and manufacture attractive luxury underwear for men.'
They ship to anywhere in the world for $5.00, and 'always respect your privacy by being as discreet as possible'.

Delta PDP Suspends Orubebe And 9 Others
the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State chapter has suspended Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsdey Orubebe alongside nine others in Burutu Local Government Area chapter, Delta State, over “gross misconducts likely to bring about disrepute, hatred, contempt and anti-party activities.”
Factional PDP chairman in the council, Pastor Kenneth Ogeibiri and four others, in a statement, issued yesterday said, “At our meeting held in Burutu town, headquarters of Burutu LGA, on June 1, members of the party received petitions from concerned PDP faithful against Elder Orubebe and nine others.
“After a preliminary hearing, pursuant to section 21.4 of the PDP constitution 2009, as amended, and by the virtue of the powers conferred on us, the Working Committee of the party, via section 21.4 of the same constitution, we, hereby, place Elder Orubebe on suspension.”
Others who were hammered by the party alongside Orubebe include, “Owotorufa Ayiba-Ebe, Arebebe Ongulu, Sagbegha Korokorosei, Timidi Agbabi, Elmina Eselemo, Roland Akemfa, Asheta Oyabebefa, Augustine Gomoromo and Ekenwa Okwagbe.”
The faction added that “in the light of the above, the affected persons are hereby, referred to PDP Disciplinary Committee, Burutu council chapter, for further investigation.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Sagbegha Korokorosei, who said he remains the authentic Chairman of PDP, Burutu council, asked the people to disregard the purported suspension of Orubebe.
According to him, “I wish to inform you that I, Mr. Korokorosei, remain the authentic Chairman of PDP Burutu council. Whoever is impersonating and or purporting to suspend Elder Orubebe, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, such an action amounts to illegality.”
“Nobody has the power to do so, because the people purporting to be doing so are a frustrated group being used by people opposed to me. Please, ignore whatever they might have said because the man in question committed no offence.”

Bus Explodes In Yenagoa
Traffic on the Isaac Boro Expressway was Wednesday reduced to a crawl for over 50 minutes after a bus conveying soft drinks suddenly caught fire.
The incident occurred at about 11.30am.
Though the fire triggered panic on the busy route but no one was injured.
The blaze showed billowing clouds of black smoke from the bus and caused traffic jam for miles as the driver and his conductor and other sympathizers watch helplessly.
The ill-fated bus, a Mitsubishi 300 was filled with crates of soft drinks and other beverages was approaching the popular roundabout close to the Five star Tower Hotel project linking the Sani Abacha expressway, Azikoro town and the Ox Bow Lake area of the capital when it exploded into flame.
This reporter who arrived the scene about 15minutes after the fire starter noticed car owners making frantic efforts to get away from the blazing bus.
The driver, who simply gave his name as Uche and his conductor escaped unhurt.
He said he heard a couple of pops before the entire bus went up in flame.
Uche who was in shock told Vanguard that he was at a loss as to the cause of the inferno said but for his closeness to roundabout which necessitated his slowing down the bus could have burst into flame while he was on speed.
As at the time this reporter left the scene to file in his report the bus was still burning and men of the state fire service were yet to arrive the scene.

Boko Haram Recruiter Arrested In Maiduguri
A major recruiter for Boko Haram was arrested in Maiduguri, the military said.
The Nigerian military said on Wednesday that it has dislodged all the terrorist camps operated by the Boko Haram in some areas of Yobe State and arrested 49 members of the sect in various operations in the state.
The military also said many Boko Haram members were fleeing to neighbouring Niger Republic through Nigeria’s porous borders.
The interior ministry had said in May that Nigeria had about 1,500 illegal borders that are poorly manned.
In a statement by the Director of Defence Information, Chris Olukolade, the military said the suspects were arrested in various locations in the state by the Joint Task Force following a tip off by some locals.
Various weapons including AK 47rifles, locally made pistols, and ammunition were recovered by the troops during the operation in Rugan Fulani, Arikime, Afghanistan and Ngandu villages.
The JTF team led by B.E. Inyang said all terrorist camps had been dislodged while some of the terrorists fled towards Niger Republic.
It, however, said some criminals still terrorise the state under the guise of Boko Haram.
“The DHQ team was also informed of a trend whereby some particular crimes have now taken the place of terrorism as the criminals now resort to brigandage, robbery and attempted assassination of business rivals,” Mr. Olukolade said
Mr. Olukolade assured residents of Yobe of safety of lives and property and encouraged citizens with vital information to provide the soldiers with them as they rid the state of the insurgents.
Success in Borno too
Mr. Olukolade also said a key terrorist who specializes in recruiting young men into the Boko Haram has been apprehended by troops in Maiduguri following a tip off.
He said the suspect, who allegedly also watches over the insurgents’ armoury, was arrested in one of the cordon and search operations by the Special Forces.
The soldiers also arrested another group of 5 insurgents, all from Niger Republic. They were arrested when troops stormed their hideout at Mallam Fatori as they attempted to escape in two Toyota Cruiser Jeeps, Mr. Olukolade said.
He said the soldiers have continued to patrol the notorious Sambisa forest and are also cordoning the Alou forest and Gwoza Hills.
“More abandoned vehicles, weapons and other items are being recovered in the camps of the insurgents,” he said.
He listed some of the recovered arms as rifles, double barrel guns, various charms and amulets, machine guns, as well as pairs of camouflage uniforms, bows and quiver and assorted rifle magazine. Others are handset, walkie talkie, car number plates and some food items.
“Abandoned vehicles recovered include a Golf Car, a Honda, Customs Pickup Van, Honda (2003 Model) and a Volkswagen Monte Carlo,” the military spokesman said.
Mr. Olukolade said police stations are now being reopened in some parts of Borno State.
“At Kirenowa, detachments of Police Anti-Terrorist unit have been deployed to complement security in the area,” he said.
The spokesman said the defence headquarters had organised a tour of the operational areas of the JTF for selected local and foreign Journalists. He said the tour is to ensure that “the media have a first-hand information on the situation in the operational areas.”
The federal government officially declared the Boko Haram as terrorists on Tuesday.

Akande, El-rufai May Head APC Interim Leadership
There are indications that the current National Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Alhaji Bisi Akande, and the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasiru el-Rufai, may be picked to serve as the interim chairman and national secretary respectively of the proposed All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ahead of Wednesday's meeting of the joint merger committees of the merging opposition parties, party leaders and the APC governors in Abuja, THISDAY gathered that both the ACN National Leader, Senator Bola Tinubu, and Congress of Progressive Change (CPC) leader, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, held last minute consultations on Monday in Kaduna.
The opposition coalition had proposed an interim national executive with the chairman to be nominated by the ACN while CPC and All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) are to fill the posts of national secretary and deputy national chairmanship slots respectively.
Forming of the interim party structure is a key requirement for the registration of a new party with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
THISDAY learnt that the three parties are making last minute efforts to fine-tune their positions on the composition of the party structure as well as putting together the necessary documentation so that the group can file its application at INEC.
It was learnt that one of the major challenges facing the merging parties is the inability by INEC to be clear on what the law expects of them with regards to the registration of the merger.
One of the members of the merger committee told THISDAY that the coalition was frustrated when in reply to a letter seeking clarity on the registration requirements, INEC wrote back urging the committees to go and seek proper interpretation of the Electoral Act.
“You know party merger has never been carried out in Nigeria's political system before. INEC is not helping matters, we approached it to assist in providing clear guidelines on the requirements for the registration of APC, but the commission instead asked us to go and interpret the law on our own,” the committee member said.
A source told THISDAY Tuesday that while ACN may choose to retain Akande as chairman of the new party, CPC is considering a choice between el-Rufai and a Kano-born politician, Hamid Ali, for national secretary.
Ali is said to be in hot contention for the interim job based on his grassroots popularity in Kano State, which incidentally, has a high voter population.
However, the source said el-Rufai may have an upper hand, having won the hearts of the leadership of CPC as a very sound and articulate person.
The source said CPC has decided to allow Buhari and other Board of Trustees (BoT) members to make the final choice for the APC interim leadership structure.
Meanwhile, THISDAY gathered that both leaders of CPC and ACN, Buhari and Tinubu, met on Monday at the private residence of the former military head of state in Kaduna to tie-up outstanding issues on the merger, including the sharing of the interim national offices of the party.
A party source told THISDAY that the meeting was also meant to allay fears of any kind, especially against the background of the sudden emergence of campaign posters canvassing support for a Buhari presidential ticket on APC platform.
The source said the meeting between Buhari and Tinubu lasted till about 9 pm, following which the former Lagos State governor left for Lagos.

Michael Jackson's Daughter Paris Attempts Suicide
According to TMZ, Paris Jackson was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Wednesday amid reports of an attempted suicide.
Her mother Debbie Rowe is understood to have confirmed the reports to Entertainment Tonight and said the 15-year-old is currently at a Los Angeles hospital.
A lawyer for Katherine Jackson, Paris’ grandmother, also appeared to confirm the suicide bid.
'She's suffered with the loss of her father,' the lawyer told the New York Daily News. 'But we don't know what she was exposed to that precipitated this.'
Paris, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, was taken from her Calabasas family home on a stretcher at around 2am and conveyed to a nearby hospital.
The drama unfolded just hours after the teenager posted a series of alarming messages on Twitter.
I pray this girl doesn't go through what Michael went through in his lifetime!

Five Things From Kenya Vs Nigeria
KickOffNigeria.com editor Colin Udoh reflects on the Super Eagles’ 1-0 win against Kenya on Wednesday afternoon.
CHARACTER IS RETURNING
They looked lethargic in Calabar nearly three months ago, but this team showed they have ‘bouncebackability’. While they may not exactly have been flying in Nairobi, this was about grit, about character, about strength, and about getting the result. Hard to fault them on any of those scores.
THE EAGLES NEED YOBO
Stephen Keshi may have his issues with Joseph Yobo, but Mexico and now Kenya have shown that that defence not only needs shoring up but, even more importantly, leadership. For spells they were far from assured at best, and sometimes rickety at worst. Godfrey Oboabona and Kenneth Omeruo are fine young talents and will only get better with games together, where Yobo may be at the twilight of his career. But his leadership, direction and experience can only help them to that next level, even if he doesn't start. And what happens if, God forbid, one or both get injured? The quicker this rift is resolved, the better for us all.
MIKEL TOO
Against Mexico, the Super Eagles struggled for possession, especially in the latter stages, even against 10 men. It was in those latter stages against Kenya that Mikel's class shone through. His unhurried ability to keep the ball and pick a pass under pressure remains one of the Eagles’ more potent weapons. He may not look it, but Mikel is infinitely more dangerous than people think.
AHMED MUSA MUST LEARN HOW TO CROSS
I was at the stadium in Conakry for his first international game against Guinea, when he almost ran the Syli Stars out of breath. His one deficiency that day was his final ball, especially the crossed deliveries from deep. Against Kenya he almost had me tearing my hair out in frustration. Someone pointed out on Twitter that Musa’s crossing makes Tijani Babangida’s look like Finidi George. It’s hard to disagree. Can we get Finidi George to come work with Musa? Please?
KUDOS FOR KESHI: 16 NOT OUT
It’s 16 games unbeaten for the ‘Big Boss’. And that is not just empty stats. There is the African Nations Cup trophy to go with it. If he carries this unyielding spirit into the Confederation Cup, who knows … we might just see Nigeria in the final.

FIFA Picks Mikel & Oduamadi For Doping Test
FIFA Picks Mikel, Oduamadi For Doping Test
Posted: Jun 05, 2013
By David Meshioye, In Nairobi:
Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) picked Super Eagles duo of John Mikel Obi and Nnamdi Oduamadi for doping test after Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Kenya's Harambee Stars at the Kasarani Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The duo were instrumental to the team's victory over the boastful Harambee Stars who played behind a full capacity stadium in Kasarani.
Varese winger, Nnamdi Oduamadi particularly was a thorn in the flesh of the Stars defence and was clear on goal at the restart but his shot from inside the box when one-on-one with goalkeeper Ochieng was blocked to safety.
Mikel Obi, who was the missing link in the Eagles 2-2 draw against Mexico, combined well with Ogenyi Onazi in the midfield for Nigeria in the second half to stand off pressures from Adel Amrouche's side.
CSKA Moscow striker, Ahmed Musa scored an 81st minute goal, to give the Super Eagles of Nigeria a 1-0 victory over Kenya.
With this result, the African champions now have eight points from four matches to lead Group F ahead of Malawi, who are on six points after they were held to a goalless draw in Blantyre also on Wednesday by third-placed Namibia.
Nigeria's next opponent in the World Cup qualifier will be against Namibia next Wednesday, while Malawi host Kenya in continuation of the qualifying tournament.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/06/pdp-suspends-gov-wamakko/
The Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday suspended another governor elected on its platform.
This time, it was the Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Aliyu Wamakko.
The party less than two weeks ago suspended the Rivers State Governor, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.
A statement on Wednesday by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, said Wamakko was suspended because of his repeated breaches of the party’s constitution.
Metuh said the governor had failed, several times, to honor the invitations and lawful directives of the NWC, which suspended him on Wednesday.
The statement by Metuh reads in full: “The National Working Committee at its 338th meeting held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, extensively discussed the state of the Party across the nation and its members as well as the repeated breaches and disregard to the Party’s Constitution by his Excellency, Dr. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State.
“The NWC notes that on several occasions, Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko had ignored invitations and lawful directives of the NWC in this regard and has continued to show complete apathy to the affairs of the party and contempt to an organ of the Party.
“Consequent upon the refusal of the Governor to honour yet another invitation by the NWC to appear before it today, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 without any reason, the Committee, in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 57 (3), 57 (7), 58. 1(c ),(h), (f) and 59 (1),(2), hereby suspends the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Aliyu Magatakarda
Wamakko as a member of the party and refers the matter to the appropriate disciplinary committee of the Party.
“This is in furtherance of the determination of the leadership of the Party to enforce discipline at all levels within the Party.”

Anambra University Shut Over Killing Of Female Student
Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State on Wednesday ordered the closure of Anambra State University after students demonstration paralysed activities at the Igbariam campus of the university.
Students had gone on the streets on Wednesday morning after gunmen, suspected to be armed robbers, killed a female student the night before.
The students, who blocked the Igbariam – Awkuzu Road and the Enugu -Onitsha Expressway, accused the management of the institution of failing to provide adequate security for students.
They also called for on-campus accommodation for students, complete with water and power supply.
Governor Obi cut short his visits to mission hospitals and schools and rushed to Igbariam on hearing about the students’ demonstration.
He immediately ordered that the institution be closed when the students could not be controlled.

US Issues Travel Alert On Nigeria
The United States has issued fresh travel alert on Nigeria, warning its citizens not to travel to North and nine other states in South.
The US predicated the alert on the emergency rule in Yobe, Adamawa and Borno states, saying extremists could expand their operations beyond the three states to other parts of the country.
“The ability of the mission to provide assistance to US citizens in those states remains severely limited,” the US government stated in an updated alert on Monday.
President Goodluck Jonathan on May 14, declared emergency rule in the three states to restore order following the violence orchestrated by members of Boko Haram.
The travel warning came just as the US State Department placed $7m bounty on the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau.
It warned that the latest alert superseded earlier one saying, “It replaces the travel warning for Nigeria dated December 21, 2012.’’
The advice read, “The Department of State warns US citizens of the risks of travel to Nigeria and recommends that they avoid all travel to Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states because of the proclamation on May 14, 2013, by the government of Nigeria.
“Based on safety and security risk assessments, the Embassy maintains restrictions for travel by US officials to all northern Nigerian states (in addition to those listed above); officials must receive advance clearance by the US Mission for any travel deemed as mission-essential. US citizens should be aware that extremists could expand their operations beyond northern Nigeria to the country’s middle and southern states.”
The alert listed other states as Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, and Zamfara citing kidnappings, robberies, and other armed attacks for the travel alert.
Meanwhile, the US has picked holes in Nigeria’s war against terrorism.
It said Nigeria was not doing enough to end the threat posed by Boko Haram.
The US faulted Nigeria’s legislation, and law enforcement, adding that the Jonathan administration was not keeping a close watch on non-profit organisations in the country to prevent terrorism financing.
The US described Nigeria’s main anti-terrorism law, Prevention of Terrorism Law of 2011, which prohibits acts of terrorism and related offences; terrorism funding and makes provision for the Investigation and prosecution of terrorists as “weak”.
This was contained in the 2012 Country Reports on Terrorism released by the US Department of State Counterterrorism Bureau, a copy of which was sighted by our correspondent on Wednesday.
It read in part, “The Nigerian government’s efforts to address grievances among Northern populations, which include high unemployment and a dearth of basic services, continued to fail, as did the security forces’ efforts to contain Boko Haram.”

49 Suspected Terrorists Arrested As Peace Returns To Yobe
BY KINGSLEY OMONOBI
ABUJA—The Defence headquarters said, Wednesday, that 49 suspected Boko Haram terrorists were apprehended in various locations in Yobe State by troops, following a tip off by locals in some communities.
A statement by the Director of Public Relations, Brig-General Chris Olukolade, noted that the arrests which were made during cordon and search operation, also witnessed the recovery of various weapons.
Olukolade said weapons such as AK 47 rifles, locally made pistols and ammunition were recovered by the troops who combed such villages as Rugan Fulani, Arikime, Afghanistan and Ngandu villages”.
He said: “Police stations are now being reopened in some parts of Borno State. At Kirenowa, detachments of the Police anti-terrorist unit have been deployed to complement security in the area.
“A key terrorist who specializes in recruiting young men into the Boko Haram fold has been apprehended by troops in Maiduguri following a tip off.
“The same individual who also watches over the insurgents’ armoury was arrested in one of the cordon and search operations by the special forces.
“Another group of five insurgents,, all Nigeriens were arrested when troops stormed their hideout at Mallam Fatori as they attempted to escape in two Toyota Cruiser Jeeps.
“Troops continue to patrol the notorious Sambisa forest and are also cordoning the Alou forest and Gwoza hills. More abandoned vehicles, weapons and other items are being recovered in the camps of the insurgents.
“Among the recent discovery are rifles, double barrel guns, various charms and amulets, machine guns, as well as pairs of camouflage uniforms, bows and quiver and assorted rifle magazine”.
“Others are handset, walkie talkie, car number plates and some food items. Abandoned vehicles recovered include, a Golf Car, a Honda, Customs Pickup Van, Honda (2003 Model) and a Volkswagen Monte Carlo.”
The feat of restoring peace to Yobe State and arrest of 49 terrorists with the help of locals was broken to the Defence Headquarters Operation Assessment Team in Damaturu.
The team, led by Air Commodore BE Inyang, was also informed that all the camps of the terrorists in the area had been dislodged as some of the insurgents fled towards Niger Republic.
The DHQ team was also informed of a trend where some particular crimes had now taken the place of terrorism as the criminals now resort to brigandage, robbery and attempted assassination of business rivals.

11,000 Youths Renounce Cultism In Bayelsa
Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has said that 11, 000 youths involved in cultism have decided to renounce it, and that he will soon meet with them to chart the path to meaningful ventures.
The governor, who was speaking in Yenagoa at the inauguration the new Bayelsa Youth Development Committee, said the government was extending an olive branch to those who had made the decision to change.
“Our government is determined to redirect and reintegrate these youths into the society for positive development,” he said, welcoming the change of attitude. “They have abused the youths' privileges in the state. A number of them are on drugs, and we want to re-integrate them.”
It was gathered that the government may be planning some kind of ‘amnesty’ deal which will involve regular cash disbursement to the youths, which may explain the large number of people registered under the scheme.
A source said that the youths were initially informed that were being registered for an ‘empowerment scheme.’
On the recent killing of policemen in the state, the governor accused unidentified “enemies of the state’’ as the brains behind the incident, saying it was aimed at compromising the peace.
“From available records, some people are making efforts to truncate peace in the state,” the governor said. “The recent killing of policemen in the state is to paint the state as an insecure state and to scare away investors.”
Despite repeated promises by the police, no arrests have yet been made in connection with the crime.
