This video will make you forget your problem, laugh wan kill me. Mercy VS Tacha: AY And Williams Uchemba Edition.

Top Nigerian comedian AY and Williams Uchemba mimic the moment Mercy and Tacha got into argument which led to Tacha being disqualified.

You will recall that Ta cha and Mercy set social media buzzing at early morning of Friday, September 27, 2019, Mercy and Tacha were engaged in a very heated word exchange as they said terrible things to each other.

Mercy pointed out that Tacha should take care of her body because she stinks and Tacha fired back that she did not need to get her body done to sleep around with men like Mercy.

At a point, Mercy who continued to mock Tacha as she was shouting flipped her hair in her face and Tacha yanked Mercy’s hair in reaction.

Their fight got so heated at a point that the male housemates had to intervene and take away any objects the ladies could have used to hurt themselves.

Comedian AY and Williams Uchemba has decided to recreate the moment Tacha and Mercy got into a heated argument.

Arsenal’s Best Line-Up To Face Man Utd: No Xhaka Or Ozil

$

Arsenal have the chance to go third in the table if we beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night. This is the line-up I’d like Unai Emery to select…

Goalkeeper: Leno

Martinez is going to provide Leno with solid competition this season as he looks to have really stepped-up his game, however, he needs to prove himself over a longer period if he’s to claim the No.1 shirt. So I’d stick with Leno.

Defence: Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Holding, Tierney

Arsenal have been boosted by the return of some key defenders as Bellerin, Holding and Tierney all played against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup last week. Bellerin only got 15 minutes under his belt and played for the U23s on Saturday so he won’t be involved against United.

Arsenal line-ups to face Man Utd

However, Tierney and Holding were left out of the U23s team as they drew with Liverpool yesterday so it looks like they’ll be included in Emery’s squad tomorrow and I would start them both. We’ve seen already in just 77 minutes against Forest that Tierney is miles better than Kolasinac and Holding adds a calm presence in the middle of defence.

I’d drop Luiz with Sokratis keeping his place alongside Holding. Luiz has been a bit of a nightmare signing so far and Sokratis was forming a solid partnership with Holding before his injury last season.

Chambers has made a real claim for the right-back slot after an excellent performance against Forest. Usually I’d like to see him keep his place but I’d worry about him being up against the pace of Daniel James. Therefore, I think it’s best we go with Maitland-Niles against Man Utd.

bukayo saka arsenal

Midfield: Torreira, Guendouzi, Ceballos

Xhaka has been confirmed as Arsenal’s new captain which suggests he’s going to continue to be a regular under Emery. I’ve made my feelings clear on this all season – Xhaka is a liability and shouldn’t be starting for Arsenal on a regular basis.

I think we’d be far more solid if Torreira protected the defence with either Guendouzi or Willock alongside him. Guendouzi should certainly start after his heroic display against Villa but Willock would be an excellent alternative.

Arsenal would still need some creativity and drive in midfield so I’d go with Ceballos in a midfield trio. With Torreira and Guendouzi supporting the Spaniard, I think that’s a really well balanced midfield but we all know Xhaka is going to start!

Attack: Pepe, Saka, Aubameyang

Lacazette remains out with an ankle injury so obviously Aubameyang will start up front. The Gabon hitman saved us once again with the winner against Villa so let’s hope his sensational goal-scoring form continues tomorrow.

Pepe got his first Arsenal goal with a penalty last weekend but he’s still struggling to really make an impression on games. He’s showing flashes of quality but really needs a stand-out performance to boost his confidence. Let’s hope it comes against Man Utd.

Ozil started in the League Cup and played pretty well but I wouldn’t select him tomorrow. This is a huge game that will require 100% from every player and I’m not sure we can rely on Ozil to put-in that sort of display away from home.

We could move Ceballos out wide or give Nelson another start. He could be confident after getting on the scoresheet in midweek. Martinelli is another option after his brace against Forest but I hope Emery gives Saka another chance. The kid is special and is our best option at left wing right now.

This is the starting eleven I hope we’ll see from Arsenal:

FIFA Beach World Cup: Nigeria, Senegal Represent Africa In Paraguay

$

The 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will get underway in December as football is taken to another surface as players and countries aim for glory on the sand in Paraguay.

Super Sand Eagles of Nigeria and Senegal are the two teams who have the opportunity to represent the continent at the World Cup from November 21 and December 1, 2019.

The draws were held in Asuncion the capital of the host country and Nigeria who finished second in the CAF beach soccer Nations Cup earlier in the year was placed in Group D which has powerhouses Brazil, Portugal, and Oman.

Senegal who are current African Champions, on the other hand, were grouped in Group C with Belarus, United Arab Emirates and Russia

In this write up we take a look at the two African sides and their opponents.

NIGERIA

Nick: Super Sand Eagles
Beach AFCON Titles: 2X
World Cup App: 5
Best finish: QF 2006 & 2011
Coach: Audu Adamu

Super sands eagles are one of Africa’s powerhouses in beach soccer in Africa, the West Africans are two times beach AFCON winners first in 2007 and 2011 while managing two quarter-final finishes in the world cup first in 2006 and 2011.

They are also ranked twentieth (20) in the beach soccer world ranking, second behind highest ranked African team, Senegal.

It was against the Senegalese that the Nigerians failed to win their third Beach AFCON title in December 2018 after losing 6-1 to their opponents in the final in Egypt.

However, they will now face powerhouses Brazil and Portugal while Oman will be their third group stage opponents as they bid to better their last FIFA Beach soccer World Cup appearance in the Bahamas where they failed to scale past the group stage

BRAZIL

The Defending Champions from the Bahamas are also the tournament’s most successful team winning 5 out of the championships last 9 editions. Even before FIFA’s take over of beach soccer World Cup, the South American team won the Beach soccer world championship nine out of ten times.

They will be expected to at least get a podium finish this time on South American soil in Paraguay, Audu Adamu has his work cut out already.

PORTUGAL

The Europeans are the second team aside Brazil to have won the Beach World Cup before and after FIFA took over the handling of the competition, the side may not have been as successful as Brazil but they can boast of winning the 2015 edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Portugal are also the current Champions of the Euro Beach Soccer League and their history shows that they are a force to reckon with.

OMAN

The least prestigious of all the teams in the group, Oman has only played thrice at the FIFA Beach world cup and have never made it past the group stage of the competition.

Call them the whipping boys of the group and you may not be wrong.

SENEGAL

Nick:
Beach AFCON Titles: 5X
World Cup App: 7
Best finish: Quarter Final
Coach: Amadou Diop

Africa’s most successful beach soccer national team and reigning Beach AFCON winners will be participating in it’s seventh FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. However, despite the frequent qualification for the World Cup, the team has not progressed beyond the quarter-finals of the competition with their last participation coming in the Bahamas two years ago.

This year they will face a relatively easy group stage opponents in Group C which has the United Arab Emirates, former world champions Russia and Belarus

BELARUS

Well, the tournament’s newcomers have the opportunity of being unknown to serve upsets to any who may want to underrate them.

The Europeans will be playing in it’s first FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup and it is left to be seen what they have up their sleeves

RUSSIA

Russia won back to back FIFA Beach soccer world cup in 2011 in Ravenna, Italy and 2013 in Tahiti. The Europeans will be Senegal’s biggest threat going into the competition

UAE

Asia’s two-time champions will be playing in only their second FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup after featuring in 2013.

However, their Asian triumphs came in 2007 and 2008 and are not expected to be a big barrier to the Senegalese.

Full draws.

A–Paraguay, Japan, Switzerland, USA.
B–Uruguay, Mexico, Italy, Tahiti.
C–Belarus, UAE, Senegal, Russia.
D–Brazil, Oman, Nigeria, Portugal.

Competition holds between November 21 and December 1, 2019.

Documents To Collect When Buying A Tokunbo Car In Nigeria

$

Lots of questions like documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria floods the internet daily. For instance, if you visit Nairaland Autos forum, you’ll find many questions taking this angle. You’ll not only see threads concerning documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria, but car dealers too. And to think of it, people still contact the creators of such threads to buy a tokunbo car from them.

It isn’t unintelligent to connect with people and buy a used or tokunbo car online. In fact, online trading makes it easier to find a car that satisfy your heart and soul. I have had contacts with online tokunbo car sellers and I have success in each of these deals. With this now, you can see that buying whether online or around your neighborhood is still the same thing. I’m bringing this up to disagree with those who say they can’t buy cars away from what they readily see. As an experienced person in the field of tukunbo car purchase, believe me, it’s common sense that matters. My point is that wherever you make the purchase, sense matters and original documents matter too.

Carmart.ng which is Nigeria best tokunbo car selling website brings you the important documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria. We’ll be snappy about this so that you make that used car your own in Nigeria before tomorrow.

Documents to Collect When Buying a Tokunbo Car in Nigeria

Finally, we are here after training you on the basic knowledge before buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria. There are a few important documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria. No matter how old a car may be, it is still very necessary to obtain these papers or documents.

After from just getting these documents, verifying each to know if they are the originals is equally important. It’ll not speak well to obtain fakes because when you run into the Police’s net, it won’t be funny. Also, don’t be too weary to avoid collecting photocopies. Buying means legally making a product your property, so, don’t mess around with photocopies instead of originals. Enough with stories as we proceed on to the necessary documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria.

Current Insurance

If you aren’t buying a direct tokunbo car, the owner must have factored in his insurance cost into the price he gave you.
Just in case you are driving off with the car and something happens, the insurance company will pay damages.
Current insurance paper is one of the documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria. Sometimes the car seller gives you an outdated insurance cover. When something happens, you can’t make claims because the insurance cover is updated.

Duly Stamped Customs Documents
Anything related to customs must be stamped and very original. Another thing is that there should be matching details of the car on each of the papers. You should be very conscious of this fact, being that these kind of documents define a car and the driver. You don’t want to hear the Nigerian Police say, ‘oga come down’, while another officer cocks his gun. Ensure that you get only original papers, and not something that has been tampered.

Details like car’s VIN is very vital, it must, as a must, be the same with what the paper says. If there is a mismatch, please seek for reasons, and no reason at all should be a reason for such. This appears as Chasis number on documents.

Request for Police Report Papers
These are another set of papers you do not want to mess with. They could include:
• Plate number document
• Engine number
• Change of ownership
• Permit for tinted glass (if tokunbo car glass is tinted)

Proof of Ownership
This will of course show that you are the owner of the car in question. Just like other documents, it is very necessary. As the name implies, if you can’t provide these papers, you’d be endangering your ownership status of the car.

Road Worthiness
Get this paper from the seller too. If the timeframe on the document has been exceeded, you can renew it. Visit a vehicle test station in Nigeria with the requirements. A valid insurance policy and license would be required as well.

Original Car Purchase Receipt
The seller has this in custody, get it. This shows that you are acquiring a legal car and not stolen. If the seller fails to provide this particular document, there is that possibility that you’re dealing with a stolen car. Even at that, be careful when issued a receipt. What you get might be a tampered document with no concrete source.

Plate Number Allocation
If for concrete reasons, the seller can’t provide this document, you can swear an affidavit in court.
Other documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria are:
• The CMR Document
• Change of ownership papers issued from the previous seller to the person you’re buying from.
There are some other documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria and they include;
• Tinted permit doc
• Document of change of ownership
• Engine number
• Plate number
• Police report
If the seller bought the car as a Nigerian used, then he should have the change of ownership document duly signed and handed over to you. But if it was bought as a direct tokunbo car, then you don’t really need this document.
You should also note that once your car doesn’t have custom document – except it is beetle, and the documents have expired years ago, please stay away from such a car.
We do our best to make sure that sellers on our platform have all the necessary documents to collect when buying a tokunbo car in Nigeria.

If you’re a first time driver, apply for the ‘L’ sign in any government approved ministry near you. The consequences of not having this sign and the documents might force the appropriate agency to impound your car.
Also, some of these documents expire over time. This means that you’ll be making renewals from time to time. And again, being caught with expired papers is more like not having any paper, and it is an offence. To know whether your paper(s) is still valid, check the details angle for that and other information.

In the end, remember to use your sixth sense. And believe me, depending on ‘hearsay’ often run people – vehicle owners into deep messes. However, you can avoid headaches by obtaining the right documents and signing appropriate papers before hitting Nigerian roads.

Reasons Why It's Difficult To Rotate A Steering Wheel

$
0
0
Each vehicle has a steering system that gives the driver control of the direction of travel. If you do not have a functioning steering system, this can lead to problems of all kinds. More importantly, this will make your vehicle unsafe for you and the other road users.

There are many components that make up the power steering system. Apart from the serpentine belt and the pump, the system includes hydraulic power steering fluid that acts adjacent to the piston so you can easily turn the wheel with little resistance.

It is vital to understand the main causes of a hard-to-turn steering wheel. The following are the five most important reasons why your steering wheel turns more and more difficult. You can go through this list and fix the problem as soon as possible.

1.
Low Power Steering Fluid

The most common cause of a stiff steering wheel when turning may be that there is not enough power steering fluid in the system. Typically, this occurs when liquid exits the pressure hose area. Sometimes the tube breaks or dissolves, causing the fluid to leak.

Since this fluid is needed to pressurize the system and lubricate the pump, you have a steering wheel that turns the harder the less power steering fluid is in the system. The car may be able to drive, but if you do not fix the leak, your power steering pump may fail, which can be a costly replacement.

2.
Bad Steering Rack

The rack consists of pinion and rack. A series of U-joints and shafts hold the rack to the steering wheel. The rack is worn and damaged over the years by simply driving your vehicle.

You will know when this happens if your steering wheel is stiff or stuck only after starting your vehicle. As the engine keeps running and warms up, the rack becomes hotter, which helps the lubricant get along a little better. Therefore, the steering wheel may become less stiff as the car continues to drive. However, you must replace the rack before the problem escalates.

3.
Broken Serpentine Belt

One of the most common causes of steering wheel stiffness is a damaged or cracked serpentine belt. This belt is used constantly if you drive the vehicle over time so that it wears out pretty quickly.

This in turn causes it to relax when the stiffness of the steering wheel begins. If you do not replace the belt soon, it breaks completely and you can not drive your car at all. It is better to replace the belt first.

4.
Power Steering Pump Failure

The pump of the power steering system generates the pressure required to turn the steering wheel smoothly. When this pump stops working, it becomes much harder to turn the steering wheel, especially at low speeds.

Normally, the pump does not prevent the steering wheel from fully moving in these situations. You will still be able to turn it, but it will require much more effort on your end. The heavier the vehicle, the harder it is to turn the wheels. Before replacing the power steering pump, make sure that the pump plug does not become detached or damaged.

5.
Old Thick Power Steering Fluid

Like other fluids in your car, the power steering fluid can become thick over time. If you do not change the power steering fluid as recommended by the car manufacturer, it may become too thick to lubricate the system.

This will make your steering taut and difficult to turn at low speeds. If a quick check on your fluid shows it is dark and thick, you need to flush and change your power steering fluid as soon as possible.

LAST WORDS

The Steering wheel of a car controls the direction it's tilted to, if it's faulty there is every tendency that it could lead to a serious injury or accident if not properly maintained, in order to keep ourselves safe and other people around us we must always maintain it periodically.

Sowore: I'm Ready For Buhari Regime's Ridiculous Charges

Omoyele Sowore has expressed his readiness to begin the re-arraignment process of the fresh charges laid before him by the Department of State Services and the Nigerian government.

Sowore appeared in court for the first time today since he was abducted by the DSS on August 3.

Sowore, who is being arraigned before Justice Ijeoma on a seven-count charge, spoke to journalists briefly inside the courtroom.

"We are in court, of course to attend to their ridiculous charges and we are ready for them," Sowore said with a smile on his face.

The DSS has failed to obey a court order by Justice Taiwo Taiwo to release Sowore on bail following the expiration of the 45-day detention order granted to the DSS.

Churches, Mosques With Revenue-Earning Businesses Will Pay Tax - Oyo State Government

The Oyo state government says churches and mosques with revenue-generating ventures and businesses will not be exempted from paying taxes and applicable levies.

John Adeleke, executive chairman of the Oyo state internal revenue service, made this known while addressing journalists on Sunday in Ibadan.

The taxman said the government is working to capture other areas that had not been explored to generate more revenue instead of increasing taxes on business enterprises to boost internally generated revenue (IGR).

On the government’s decision to exempt churches and mosques from paying taxes, Adeleke clarified that those with revenue-earning ventures and other businesses would pay taxes, levies and other fees as applicable.

“A culture of an efficient and leak-proof collection in all areas of revenue would be put in place,” NAN quoted him to have said.

“Instead of tax increment, we are emphasising the efficient collection of existing revenue and we are bringing our informal sector into the tax net.

“The good performance of Gov. Makinde has also changed the attitude of the stakeholders toward tax payment as most of them are responding without any reminder.

“However, the economy is a big challenge for many companies as this has an implication on Pay As You Earn (PAYE) remittances.”

The chairman further explained that some taxpayers that were reluctant to respond are being served reminders after which thorough enforcement would follow.

The chairman further explained that some taxpayers that were reluctant to respond are being served reminders after which thorough enforcement would follow.

He. however, assured the people that any step to be taken to enforce the tax drive would be legal.

2023 Presidency: 'Zoning Is Dead In Nigeria' - Bashir Tofa

$
0
0
Remember Bashir Othman Tofa? He is a Nigerian politician from Kano State and was the National Republican Convention (NRC) candidate in the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election, won by his rival Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, but the military government of General Ibrahim Babangida never released the official results.

In this interview with ABDUL HASSAN, the businessman turned politician declared that zoning of the highest political office in the country, the presidency, is dead and as such the South should not expect the North to relinquish power at the end of President Buhari’s second term in 2023. He said the struggles and power game within the APC and PDP pose grave dangers and threats to the nation’s democracy. He also said he is not averse to joining the next presidential race if God permits.

Do you think the North has gotten a fair share in the leadership of this country?

The North hardly complains about any fair share of leadership in Nigeria, unless it becomes absolutely necessary. Even then, very quietly. The North firmly believes that it is within the right of any President to appoint people he trusts and deeply believes will execute his agenda. Some people believe otherwise. The constitution requires however that the President reflects the makeup of Nigeria in his appointments, with acute consideration for merit in respect to each appointment he makes. If that is done and, in addition, every part is served equitably in line with their needs, such complaints will diminish, like it is in almost all developed societies. What you do and set out to achieve will be more important than the consideration of the racial, ethnic or the religious make up of who you appoint.

Nigeria has been and remains till date a tribal and fragmented society. We refuse to do what is required to move us forward and develop the country for the benefit of all. We still see ethnicity and religion in almost everything we do. We are truly underdeveloped. Unless we cross that line, we will remain disunited and in fear and suspicion of each other.

One of our (Nigerian) main problem is that we are still just a collection of people in a geographical area called Nigeria; we are just a country. We have been unwilling and unable to grow into a Nation State. May be it is because the country was put together, perhaps with the clear objective of serving the interests of the colonial masters, but not the collective interests of the people. I often wonder who among our founding fathers negotiated and signed the so-called 1914 amalgamation document. Some of them were toddlers in 1914, and most were not even born then. I hope some historians will answer this question for us. Who signed it on our behalf, and who gave them the mandate to do that?

My belief is that this country was put together without the agreement of the people that were supposed to make it up. Even the various constitutions, those colonial constitutions and the ones we wrote in 1979 and revised in 1999, were really not agreements between the various groups. They were laws and guidelines of a general nature. That’s all.

In a 1986 book manuscript (In Search of Unity) which I wrote, and which remains unpublished till date, but which I keep revising due to changing events in Nigeria, I suggested that the various groups of ethnicities in Nigeria needed to sit, discuss and agree, within themselves first, as to how and under what conditions they would want to live in a country such as this, mindful, of course, of other peoples’ desires and rights. Thereafter, representatives of each of these groups should come and sit all together in a well organised, authoritative and mandated Conference to make the necessary compromises and reach binding agreements that will be the basis of amending our current constitution, or writing a completely new one. I think all the current calls for restructuring of Nigeria is about this.

Here, a fundamental question may likely arise. What if a section decides that they would come to the Conference with the sole purpose of negotiating an exit from the Union? A kind of “Nexit”. However it is perfectly possible that negotiating to remain will be successful.

Nigerians are already looking forward to 2023, do you support zoning or rotational presidency?

I have never supported rotational presidency for the simple fact it is an idea that will never promote unity amongst Nigerians. It is a very divisive and myopic formula. What Nigeria needs is a Nigerian President, not a sectional or zonal President, who is there simply because he/she is from a particular zone or region of the country. For zones to be clamoring for Presidency as a do or die affair during each election cycle, is certainly one major factor for the utter disunity we experience in these difficult times. Rotational Presidency is utterly undemocratic and unfair to qualified people who have ambitions to lead their country, but won’t be availed with the opportunity because they are from the wrong zone at that material time. The shouts of “it must be our turn” from one or two zones, and “no, it is not”, are the consequence of rotational presidency, which are very inimical to the unity of this country.

This rotational blunder is a PDP invention with the intention of settling some political confusion and dilemma. But even they (PDP) had to break this understanding by using a new sinister term they invented, known as “the doctrine of necessity”, that allowed a Vice President from a different zone, not only to complete the term of the deceased President (which he was entitled to do by the constitution), but to contest the election to become the next President, even though it was not the turn of his zone, in accordance with the rotational understanding. Had the idea of rotation was unknown; the “doctrine of necessity” would have been unnecessary. The President would just go on to contest the election with the permission of his party without any rancour.

The ANPP had never openly or even quietly promoted this idea of rotation. At that party’s presidential conventions, aspirants from all parts of the country were free to contest. Delegates were also free to elect anyone they saw fit. President Buhari contested three times (2003, 2007 and 2011) with other aspirants from all parts of the country and emerged the candidate of the APP and later ANPP, not because he was from the North, but because the delegates thought he was a better candidate for their party at those times.

Democracy should not be limited and exclusive. It must be an open and transparent affair that is inclusive and gives everyone a fair chance to seek whatever elective office he/she is qualified to contest in accordance with the rules.

It is, therefore, easy to see that rotational presidency is diametrically opposed to democracy. People with ambitions, who are qualified must be allowed to participate, whoever and from wherever they are. A candidate who lost knows that he is out not because he is from a wrong zone, but simply because he/she lost the contest in the party primaries. The same thing for the state and national secondary elections. Allowing for full democracy and fair participation of all is the best way to safeguard our national cohesion, peace and prosperity.

Unless political parties drop rotational presidency and make announcements to that effect in good time, the 2023 election will certainly be a bridge too far for this country. The power struggles and acute, almost sickening ambitions of certain people within the two main parties, juxtaposed with the determination of certain zones to assume the presidency in 2023, are a clear sign of the dangers and the threats to democracy that we will be faced with.

Some leaders like Governor Nasiru Ahmed el-Rufai are already asking that North should still contest the presidency after Buhari, do you agree?

I believe my answer above, is clear on this issue. All parties should forsake rotation right now, and give everybody the opportunity to contest whatever elective post he/she is qualified to contest. I know that some section may vote in block, but that is their choice, and they will reap the consequences for their action. Nonetheless, there are sure to be people who will cross the divisive lines of ethnicity and religion and cast their votes in favour of the person they believe will serve their purposes better. We have seen this many times before. If we get used to electing people based on their records, merit, qualifications and their programmes, then we will be well on the way to becoming a nation of unity, peace and development.

The biggest dilemma that we may be faced with, in my opinion, is whether these two main political parties (APC and PDP) will survive the tremors within them. They are like volcanoes waiting to erupt! It is for this reason that the thought and even the preparations for a new genuinely national party or parties, populated with credible and dependable people, free of these rancours, and built with the genuine vision and courage to unite this country again in peace and national prosperity, may be quite timely.

Would you still aspire to lead Nigeria again if the opportunity arises?

In life, and in good health and available opportunities, one must never say, never again. Every matter will be as Allah (subhanahu wa ta’ala) decreed, for He has power over all things. Who would know what is in store for each of us, except Him, the all knowing?

What I can also tell you is, it is not in my plans, right now, to seek any elective office. But, like I said, Allah’s plans will prevail over all other plans. If for whatever reason I find myself up there, my only wish is to serve this country with dedication, fairness and honesty; actively promoting peace, security, unity and prosperity for all Nigerians without exception. I have this urge in me, to make all Nigerians feel they are equal, living in a land of know how, not of know who.

If you are the president of this country, what will you do differently from what is being done now?

I will certainly build on the efforts being made on security, peace, unity and prosperity of all Nigerians. Another thing I would certainly do with keen determination, is to convince the members of the National Assembly to accept not more than N2 million a month, based on full sitting allowance.

Thirdly, I will also plug all wastages, lower taxes and make sure I strengthen all our institutions. Another important thing I will certainly do is to pay attention to education, employment and empowerment, especially of our teeming youths all over the country. Any money or jobs allocated, will be equitably shared among the States, and I will also mandate each State to share it among qualified people in their State, and in accordance with the guidelines.

How will you assess Buhari’s administration on its campaign planks of economy , security and corruption war?

President Muhammadu Buhari (may Allah increase him with health and wisdom) has well meaning intentions for all sections of the Nigerian people. Assessing performances from one who is looking in from the outside is totally subjective. It is like a spectator watching a football match. When he moves his foot to the left, and the player moves his to the right, he blames the player. But the player is the one in whose front is the ball. And he only knows his circumstance. But if the player also moves his foot to the left and kick the ball but miss the goal, that would be regarded as bad luck, whereas in the first case, it would be regarded as a mistake. But, let me just say that, I am sure President Buhari knows he is the player and no one else. He is also well aware that this is his last term. Therefore, legacy should be very important to him. I hope he will pay more attention to issues of security, employment and empowerment. Wherever peace resides, he must go there and seek it, for without it, we are doomed. The society is boiling almost everywhere, and special attention should be focused on that.

Do you believe a Deputy Governor or Vice President should succeed his boss for continuity like Osinbajo succeeding Buhari?

That is what the constitution says. Unless it is changed later, that will be the way it is and shall remain.

Generally, how can you assess Nigerian democracy within the context of development as compared to military regime?

We are in a democracy now, and hopefully we will continue to be that, despite the difficulties. But, in whatever situation Nigeria finds herself, we have to do our best to make the best of it.

What Causes Sweating And Body Odour.

Sweating is the secretion of fluids by sweat glands onto the surface of the skin, mainly for the purpose of maintaining body temperature within an ideal range. This happens when the body temperature rises due to physical exertion or being in hot surroundings, the evaporation of sweat from the skin produces a cooling effect.

Sweat doesn’t smell, however, one can develop an odour when the acids in the sweat are being broken down by skin bacteria. The waste products from this breakdown process produce an offensive smell referred to as BODY ODOUR.

WHEN CAN ONE LIKELY HAVE BODY ODOUR?

Once a person reaches puberty, body odour begins to occur as this is when the apocrine glands, which are located in the armpits, breasts, and genital-anal area become developed. Males are more likely to have body odour than females because they sweat more than females.

WHO’S IS AT RISK OF HAVING BODY ODOUR

Below are categories of people at higher risk of having body odour;

1. Obese People

2. Persons who regularly eat spicy food

3. Individuals with certain medical conditions such as diabetes, hyperhidrosis (People who sweat too much), etc are more susceptible to having body odour.

Body odour can have a pleasant and specific smell to the individual and can be used to identify people, especially by dogs and other animals. Each person’s unique body odour can be influenced by diet, gender, health, and medication.

CAUSES OF BODY ODOUR

Body odour is caused by bacteria breaking down sweat and is largely linked to the apocrine glands. These glands are found in the breasts, genital area, eyelids, armpits, and ear. In the breasts, they secrete fat droplets into breast milk. In the ear, they help form earwax. Apocrine glands in the skin and the eyelids are sweat glands.

The apocrine glands are mainly responsible for body odour because the sweat they produce is high in protein, which bacteria can break down easily.

Also, medical conditions such as Overweight, diabetes, gout, tumour, menopause, frostbite, overactive thyroid, pituitary gland disorders, head injury, excessive alcohol consumption, infectious diseases, etc are also the leading causes of body odour

DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF BODY ODOUR

If you have an offensive body odour and you are concerned about you could see your doctor who may in some cases prescribe aluminium chloride.

However, to curtail body odour, one is advised to;

1. Use of Antiperspirants which contains aluminium-based compounds that temporarily block sweat pores, thereby reducing the amount of perspiration that reaches your skin.

2. Use of Deodorants contain perfume fragrances intended to mask odour. Deodorants can eliminate odour but not perspiration and are usually alcohol-based and can turn your skin acidic making it less attractive to bacteria.

3. Gradual shift in lifestyle which includes;

a. Regular bathe daily with an antibacterial soap.

b. Choose clothing to suit your activity.

c. Adopt relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation or biofeedback which can help teach you to control the stress that triggers perspiration.

d. Change your diet by reducing caffeinated beverages and spicy or strong-smelling foods which may make you sweat more or have stronger body odour than usual.
