How I Was Scammed By A Fake And Wicked Jamb Official

Hello Nairalanders.
My name is Cynthia Joseph, am 17 years old and i would like to share my jamb story with you guys, so other people will not be deceived as i was deceived

I wrote jamb last year while i was still in ss3 and i got 204, i was just testing my ability so i did not take the jamb serious when my dad saw the result he said wow.. am sure my baby would make 250 next year.

This year jamb exam was to hold on April but due to the fact that i was at home after my waec i have started reading and preparing for jamb since December 2012, My course is economics and i was sitting for maths, English, commerce and economics. I read my commerce and economics text book 6 times before the jamb examination. And i attended jamb lessons to support myself in english and maths.

A day to the exam i was very confident that i would murder all the questions that will come out in jamb and yes i did but to my greatest disappointment i go 182. I checked my result in 3 cyber-cafe because it was so hard for me to believe it was my result, i cried and cried but the crying did not change anything.
My parents were not disappointed they were just surprised that i got that score but they said its God's doing that i should wait for next year.. That was the saddest sentence i have ever heard in my life.
When my neighbor check his own he scored 215, he was so shocked he thought jamb made a mistake but what made him believe it was his result was because he used CHOKES.

The night before the exam we were all seated in our compound so he told me that he will not sleep tonight, i asked why and he said he his waiting for chokes i laughed and said 'do you know that Jamb is the only examination that the answers don't get leaked?' I was wrong.. Out of curiosity i stayed with him so i could see the answers he was expecting, by 11pm he got English, by 2am commerce and economics entered.. He said maths was going to leak by 8am in the morning.

He had a very bad handwriting so I helped him copied all the prepared answers from his cell phone to a small piece of paper when i finished i advised him not to use it that it might be wrong and how will he know that the paper types will correspond? he replied by saying 'na today' He told me to copy my own down so we can use it together i declined.

If i only i could see the future i would have accepted his offer and use the prepared answers.

Two weeks after the examination i came across a website. When i saw the website i was shocked and i showed it to my elder brother who was a graduate he discouraged me to forget about the site, that it is against the law, he went further saying if i get caught i will spend some years in jail, but i laughed it off

I read all what was written on the website and it was so perfect that i believed every word that was written there, So i called the phone number and a guy picked it up, i told him that i saw his number on a jamb site and that i will like to upgrade my jamb score from 182 to 205, he said that's not a problem and he would help me do it in 5 hours after payment. he requested for my jamb details which i sent and he told me that when i pay the money i should call him..

I was kinda happy and i decided not to tell my parents, i will use the upgraded result as a surprise to them, i brought out all my savings it was 3,500 naira i could put together so i lied to my elder bother that i want to learn how to type and the typist requested for 1,500 naira. he gave it to me immediately and said after i learn it i will be more useful to him and i will have something doing.

The next day i headed to the bank and i payed the sum of 5,000 naira into his account Account Name: Kingsley Imoh
Account Number: 0043751340 GT-Bank
I called him and he said he got an alert that after 5hours i should go and re-print my result. Unfortunately when i went to the cyber cafe i was told my jamb card has been used many times that i need to get a new jamb card, i was sad because i don't know where to get the money. Actually the man selling jamb stuffs is my church member so i went to get the card on credit with the belief that when my parent see the result they will be very happy and they would pay for the card.

But to my greatest surprise i checked my result and nothing changed i waited for the next day checked again and i still saw my same score.. i called him and he did not picked, i sent him messages he replied saying its a database complication that i should wait for an hour and check back, i waited for two hours and checked but i still saw the jamb score, i called him but his phone was not reachable . Till now his phone is not reachable it was that moment i realized i have been scammed. I took the courage and i told my parents what happened. i showed the the website and they said its not my fault that even if they were the one they would fall for it. So they paid for the jamb card and enrolled me into a computer school and i apologized to my elder bro for lying to him.

Its not like i want a refund or something. I just want people to know that this upgrading stuff is not real and i wish someone can caught the owner of that site and lock him up cause i believe i am not his only victim and i will not be his last.

Thanks for reading and you all can ask me any questions you like but no insults please. check out the website and see if you won't fall for it

A BOY keeps a password on his cellphone while a MAN is confident enough to say "baby can u answer that for me"!!

A BOY runs the streets & chill with his friends while a MAN is enjoying time with his woman planning ahead for their future!

A BOY complains about spending too much time with his woman, a MAN plans vacations & getaways because he is wise enough to notice tomorrow isn't promised!

A BOY has pride after arguments, a MAN has heart & emotions, A BOY beats on his woman, a MAN massages & caresses his woman!

A BOY screams gold-digger for the simple things a woman want, a MAN knows it's his responsibility.

A BOY tells his woman all the things she does wrong, a MAN acknowledges his woman's hard work!

A BOY tells his woman she is pretty, & a MAN tells his woman she is beautiful!

A BOY will read this & think this is about him & a MAN will read this & thoroughly acknowledge what he needs to fix in his relationship..

A Girl Asking A Guy Out: Bravery Or Stupidity

We live in a world dominated by the male gender. The female counterpart struggle each day to claim equality with the male species.

It is generally believed that the man has the sole responsibility of winning the girl's heart by wooing "toast, chyking" the lady. Let us turn tables and see what we all think.

If a lady finds a guy she is interested in, how brave or how silly does she look making the 1st move

For some, they feel she's matured. Others she is brave and a whole lot of others feel its silly. Does the fact that a girl makes the 1st move make her cheap Does it mean she is desperate Does it mean she is shameless Does it mean she is proud Does it mean the guy she walks up to is weak

A lot of times, ladies prefer to stay silent about how they really feel about a guy not just because they don't truly love the guy but because the are afraid of the tag the world would give them.

Is it indeed bravery or stupidity for a girl to make the 1st move over a guy

We'll Clip Eagles Wings - Bosnia Coach, Safet Susic

Bosnia coach Safet Susic has thrown down the gauntlet at the Super Eagles, and insists his team will make it out of Group F of the FIFA 2014 World Cup to be hosted by Brazil in June.

Susic says he isn't bothered with the Super Eagles of Nigeria and believes his attacking philosophy will see the debutants scale the group stage hurdle.

The former Paris Saint Germain midfielder has set up his team to attack with Manchester City's Edin Dzeko leading the line with 10 goals in qualifying as Bosnia notched up 30 goals.

Bosnia boasts attacking players like City's Dzeko, Roma's Miralem Pjanic, former Hoffenheim midfielder Zvjezdan Misimovic and Vfb Stuttgart's Vedad Ibesivic and Susic feels this players can cause damage to any team.

"We will continue attacking like we always do," Susic told www.utsandiego.com.

"It may sound tactically risky, but I think it would be wrong to play differently.

The 58-year-old coach, who has had stints in France and Turkey says he will also stick with his attacking style at the World Cup.

"It would be unfair to the game and above all to the fans if we were to constrain such talents,"Susic said.

"After all, we are playing to score more goals than our opponents and so far it has paid off."

When asked about his team's chances in Group F of the 2014 Fifa World Cup, Susic who took over the Bosnia job in 2009, said: "Argentina is by far the best team in our group and they should finish first.

"Our target is to join them in the next round.

"I think our chances are very realistic, because at this moment, both Nigeria and Iran are not better teams than us. I fully expect that we pass into the second round."

Bosnia, who recently inked a deal with sportswear firm Adidas to kit them at the World Cup, lost their last pre-World Cup friendly, played in Innsbruck, Austria on 5 March 5, 2-0 to Egypt.

Swansea Vs Chelsea 0 - 1 - (Full Time)

Garry Monk wants Swansea and Wales captain Ashley Williams to remain with the Barclays Premier League club "for as long as possible".

Williams, 29, has just over a year left on his existing Swansea contract and Italian heavyweights Napoli - the Swans' Europa League conquerors this season - are among those thought to be tracking him.

"What he does for the club, I would have him here for as long as possible," Swansea head coach Monk said.

"He has been linked with clubs for a few years - it is what happens with good players. He's an important player that, as a club, we should keep as long as possible.

"He is a good guy who cares for the club and wants the best for us. I know he is happy here and I don't see a problem.

"I haven't had a conversation about his future. I speak to him frequently, but it's about the football, things we can improve and the defensive side of things, giving him things what he can take on to the pitch to influence the rest of the guys."

Williams will be an integral part of Swansea's plan to beat title-chasing Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday, when a win for Monk's men would effectively erase any lingering relegation fears.

The game comes just five days after Chelsea booked a Champions League semi-final place by knocking out Paris St Germain, and Monk is fully aware of the challenge that awaits.

"I don't buy we could catch them cold after midweek," he added.

"The players they have through the squad are top-class players. I am sure they will make changes, but whoever comes in is top-class.

"They are not pushing for the title for no reason. They have experience and class all over the pitch. It's an extremely tough game, but a challenge we are looking forward to and have to relish.

"The journey this club (Swansea) has been on and fighting for is to be on this level, to compete against these sort of teams, and we have to make sure we continue that."

Monk has reported no new injury worries ahead of Sunday's Liberty Stadium clash.

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is likely to miss out with a calf injury sustained against Paris St Germain on Tuesday night.

Mohamed Salah and Nemanja Matic are available after being ineligible in Champions League competition, while midfielder Ramires is back from a three-match domestic ban following his dismissal in the controversial loss at Aston Villa.

Demba Ba, who scored the goal which took Chelsea into the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday night, could start a first Premier League game since October after being used mainly as a substitute this term.

Jose Mourinho has called on Chelsea to end their three-match losing streak on the road by demonstrating more of the togetherness that saw them to a famous win over Paris St Germain in midweek.

The Blues travel to Swansea on the back of defeats to Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and PSG in successive games on their travels, and need to stop the rot to keep their Barclays Premier League title hopes from receding further.

Chelsea looked much improved from those three defeats as they beat PSG 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday to secure an away-goals win that tees up a Champions League semi-final with Atletico Madrid.

Looking ahead to the match at the Liberty Stadium, Mourinho said: "They are a good team, they play good football.

"Especially at Swansea it is never easy and Chelsea knows that better than other teams.

"They still need the three points, they are not in big danger like other teams but they still need a couple of points to stay in the Premier League and of course they will try to get points out of this game."

4-3-3 As Super Eagles Best Formation For World Cup?

$

0
By Ude Ikenna Ezekiel

The 2014 World Cup, the biggest football showpiece on the planet, is not more than 64 days away.

Stephen Keshi, from taking the job until the international friendly against Italy, had been playing with a 4-3-3 formation. It was this same formation that won him the AFCON trophy 13 months ago in South Africa, and which he employed at the Confederations Cup.

However, due to the loss of form of Sunday Mba, such an important component of that formation, the coach was left with no option than to try out few other players in that position with no one making a strong claim to that 'Third Man’ role. Against Italy at Craven Cottage, Keshi introduced the old 4-4-1-1 formation in order to limit the effect of the unavailability of the third man in the midfield.

In the above formation, the two central midfielders were both involved in breaking down their opponents attacks and as well building up the Eagles’ own offensive. Going by the ‘End justifies the Means’ theory, the pattern did pay off as both the main striker and the supporting striker in the original No. 8 role scored to secure a 2-2 draw.

However, the 4-4-1-1 formation itself has many tactical shortfalls. Not only does it encourage a team to be reactive, it also creates a wide gap between the midfielders and the supporting striker upfront. This is because before the central midfielders can supply the player in the No. 8 role, they not only have to win the ball from their opponents but must also move forward across the half-way line, thereby exposing the centre-backs.

Onazi | His Qualities suit the 4-3-3, but is he compromised in a 4-4-1-1?

For a team with mobile and fast central midfielders, the 4-4-1-1 might be a good option but considering the fact that Ogenyi Onazi, who is mobile, has to be paired with John Obi Mikel, who is not, this is not an approach that sits comfortably with the players available to the coach.

With Sunday Mba now back in form in the French Ligue 2, and given the risks of the 4-4-1-1 pattern, now might be the best time to revert back to the 4-3-3 formation.

Not only does this formation provide the much needed attacking frame for the team, it also limits any effects of a lack of mobility that could affect the team's transition from defence to attack. Given the attacking promise of the three aforementioned midfielders, the 4-3-3 will afford any of them the opportunity to spearhead the team’s counter-attacks as soon as the team regains possession.

Mba | Is it time to put our faith back in the CA Bastia man?

Mba’s fine strike against Cote d’Ivoire in the AFCON quarter-final was a fine example of how this is possible. Bright Dike’s goal against Catalonia ahead of the tournament is another glowing example.

Should Nigeria progress beyond the group stage, they will likely encounter teams who possess great attacking menace—in these instance, attack might be the best form of defence. The 4-3-3 allows the Super Eagles to cause problems for the opposition and hopefully disrupt their offensive ambitions.

This was evident during the Confederations Cup, when Keshi’s 4-3-3 caused problems for Spain; La Roja, typically accustomed to teams who defended against them, appeared taken aback by the Super Eagles’ adventure.

This formation gives the Eagles defensive balance as well as an attacking balance, and should the players hit the World Cup in form, Keshi's team should be in a good position to beat the weaker teams and, at least, give themselves a fighting chance against stronger opposition.

All in all the formation will create a greater opportunity to score goals even when under severe attack from their opponents owing to the possibilities that exist for speedy counter attacks. With the above formation in place, the Super Eagles fans should prepare to see their team travel deep into the competition at the elite footballing showpiece.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa, on Sunday, said it arrested a medical doctor (name withheld) for alleged impersonation and examination malpractice.

The NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mr Muhammad Gidado, told newsmen in Dutse that the doctor in question works with Gumel General Hospital in Gumel Local Government Area of the state.

He was arrested while writing JAMB examination for his wife (name also withheld), he added.

JAMB UTME Leaked Questions & Answers Were Actually Correct?

JAMB Is Off The Track;;;Is This UTME??

The rate at which the education sector of this counrty is declining is obviously crazily alarming.

There have been some trending proclaimed answers to the UTME questions even before the examination,on sighting it at first,I waved it off as I refused to believe, because I never thought such detrimental act could be real.

But while surfing the net some few hours after the so-called examination, I discovered that the previously trending answers were real ,I still couldn't comprehend that fact as I went all the way to a neighbour's hood to get the questions for confirmation and to my agape, the answers were so damn real if not for some flimsy mistakes,I bet if anyone had used that, the person will surely score nothing less than 250...

How on earth could that be happening is what I'm still trying so hard to fathom, how on earth could the UTME be so cheap, obviously the UTME is no more a true test of students' abilities,I'm sure any Tom,Dick and Harry can just score 300+ if he/she knows how to maximally utilise the 'orijo'.Now I see why JAMB is no more rewarding those with the highest scores,Now I see the reason behind the introduction of the Computer Based Test and POST UTME...It's pathetic though but I don't think it's a new act.

Here are some of the crazy testimonies on gurusloaded...

Is It Possible To Be Vegetarian While Eating Nigerian Food?

I have been contemplating being vegetarian for health reasons but I forsee it becoming difficult in an evironment like Nigeria. Nigerian cuisine is very much centered on meat. For my informational purpose, are there Nigerians in Nigeria who consciously avoid meat? How do you modify staples such as soups and stews, and avoid dairy? What about social events with meat, fish and chicken everywhere? cry

I have heard that personalities like TB Joshua completely avoid animal food products and I wonder how they do it.

A Thread On The History Of The Igbanke People Of Edo State

This is my candid and unbiased idea on how our proposed memoranda to the CONFAB should look like. This, in no way, is final copy of it. Please, lets have it subjected to a comprehensive analysis with the view to removing things considered irrelevant and injecting those viewed most appropriate. IGBANKE IN SEARCH OF LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL IDENTITY
INTRODUCTION
Language and culture are two of the most fundamental factors that unite and identify a people . A people and their race go into extinction once their language is dead. Once a group of people who share similar linguistic and cultural affinity are dismembered or have other language and culture super-imposed on them, the resultant effect is gradual, systematic and eventual disintegration of the people, their language and culture.
A classical example of a people who have suffered aforementioned linguistic and cultural annihilation were the Sects. Sects, the original owner of the present-day England were, in the 4th century, attacked by the three Germanic tribes- Jutes, Saxons and Anglo-Saxons. The imposition of the dialects of the three Germanic tribes led to the total extinction of the Sectic language.
Though, the descendants of the Sects are still in England, but their linguistic and cultural identity have gone into oblivion.
To this extent, the people of Igbanke in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Edo state are face the Sects experience. Igbanke is one of the few Ika-speaking communities in Edo state. For this singular reason, they are subjected to all forms of discriminations and marginalization.

STATEMENT OF FACTS ON THE SUBJECT MATTER
The language and culture of the good people of Igbanke are losing their envious identity and relevance in culture-linguistic market-place in Edo state in particular and Nigeria at large.
Several reasons are evidently present to support the fears and anxiety of the people of Igbanke that our identity as a people would go into sudden extinction if urgent measures are not quickly taken to address our emasculation by Bini language dominance. The following points support the facts of the subject matter:
1) Igbanke is one of the few communities in Edo state that speak Ika language
2) Igbanke is located in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Edo state.
3) Igbanke, by name is in Orhionmwon LGA, but geographically, we do not share common boundary with any community in the council
4) From the eastern flank, Igbanke shares common boundary with Mbiri, an Ika speaking community in Delta stae, from west, it’s bounded by Oghada, another Ika speaking community in Uhunmwode LGA in Edo state. In the northern sphere, Igbanke has boundary with Ekpon, Ika speaking community in Igueben LGA while from the south, it has Agbor and Oza-Nogogo, Ika communities in Delta state as neighbours.
5) Igbanke is in Edo south senatorial district
6) Igbanke people and community came under the Bini empire during the latter’s expantionist programme.
7) Most of other Ika speaking communities that were conquered by Bini empire same time with Igbanke have gotten their independence in Delta state while Igbanke, Oghada, Otobaye, Iru, Ekpon and Ogbeka etc are selfishly scattered in three local government areas with the attendant linguistic discrimination and political marginalization.
cool Igbanke are gradually losing their linguistic and cultural identity as a result of our involuntary affiliation to the Bini language-speakers dominated Orhionmwon LGA.

ISSUES FROM THE STATEMENT OF FACTS
Consequent upon the facts drawn from the subject matter, some issues could be deduced to support Igbanke search for linguistic and cultural identity. These issues would go a long way in justifying our position.
1)Igbanke was deliberately, but selfishly carved into Edo state during the 1991 state creation irrespective of the linguistic difference between the people of Igbanke and the dominant Bini speaking population of the state.
2) Over 96% of Ika speaking communities in the defunct Bendel state were carved into Delta state while Igbanke and a handful other Ika speaking communities were severed into Edo state where they are presently subjected to acute linguistic and sundry discriminations
3) Because of linguistic factor, the people of Igbanke feel more at home with their kiths and kins (Ika speaking people) in Edo and Delta states.
4) Igbanke is made up of six (6) autonomous clans: Ake/Obiogba, Idumu-Odin, Igbontor, Oligie, Omolua and Ottah. These clans were governed by traditional rulers called ‘’Eze or Obi’’. These terms were of Ika origin, but have been forcefully changed to ‘’Enogie’’ a Bini term by the conquering Binis.
5) Our ancestral heritage like language, names and beliefs are being systematically destroyed by the domineering power of the Binis.

ARGUMENTS IN SUPPORT OF ISSUES RAISED
1)Most Igbanke indigenes who have Ika ancestral names like, “Emeka”, “Maduka”, “Chukwuka’’, “Chinyere”, “Amaka and “Ogorchukwu etc are often confronted with all forms of harrowing experiences when there are needs to visit our council headquarters, Abudu to process one official documents or the other. We are often denied the issuance of documents like, ‘’Certificate of Local Government of origin’’, Protest Letter’’, To Whom it May Concern’’ etc on the guise that we are Igbos not Binis.
2) Those who have the likes of the Ika aforementioned names, but can speak Bini language are rarely subjected to the above embarrassments and discriminations. This act goes a long way to vindicate our fear that there is a subtle, but carefully planned agenda to make us lose and abandon our ancestral linguistic and cultural heritage.
3) In order to escape from these unnecessary embarrassments, some have no other option left than to change their identity from Ika to Bini names.
4) Today, we, the good people of Igbanke are gradually losing our once envied linguistic and cultural identity.
5) Some of the eminent sons and daughters of Igbanke, whom out of their outstanding contributions to the development of the community, were recognized and given chieftaincy titles had had such titles changed from their original Ika origin to Bini equivalence. For example, few years ago, one of our sons who addressed himself as “Chief Orike-Eze” in Oba of Benin palace was shamefully harassed, insulted and forcefully forced, right in the palace to change the title to its Bini version. According to the palace, the title, “Orike-Eze” had its origin from Ika and Igbo nations.
5) Most times, when we have cause to attend meetings with the Binis in our local government area or senatorial district, deliberations are often conducted in Bini in language without considering the fact that the people of Igbanke in such meeting neither speak nor understand the language. Often than not, when we attend such meetings, we left the venue more confused than we were before we went.
6) In Edo state, Igbanke is only tolerated, not respected, seen, but not accepted. Today, in Edo state, plans are underway by the state Ministry of Education to introduce the teaching of Bini language in Primary and Secondary schools across Edo south senatorial district including Igbanke. Unfortunately, our indigenous language, Ika is not in any way considered qualified and appropriate to be taught in schools in Igbanke. To us, its another deliberate attempt to send our linguistic identity into extinction.
7) Our people have also suffered several inexplicable discriminations when it comes to political appointments. During the 2013 Edo state local government elections, one of our sons, Mr. Peter Ikem was refused to contest the chairmanship position in Orhionmwon local government area. Reason? His surname, “Ikem” was an Igbo, not Bini name.

PRAYERS/ RELIEFS SOUGHT
Sir, based on the foregoing, we therefore, solemnly ask for the folling:
1) A local government be created that would comprise all Ika speaking communities scattered in Orhionmwon, Uhunmwode and Igueben LGAs of Edo state. Some of the Ika speaking communities in Edo stateinclude:
Orhionmwon LGA ----Igbanke, Iru, Ohezenaka, Otobaye, Ugbeka
Uhunmwode LGA ----- Oghada
Igueben LGA ------- Ekpon

2) Where, for any reason, creation of a local government area that would consist all Ika speaking communities is not in the immediate possible or feasible, we therefore ask that Igbanke be severed from Edo state and merged with our kiths and kins in Ika south local government area in Delta state.
3) The people of Igbanke should be seen, recognized and accepted as Ika people residing in Edo.
4) That Igbanke people, based on our forceful membership of Edo state, reserved the natural and inalienable right to decide, at any time, either to continue our membership with the Binis in Edo state or join our Ika kiths and kins in Delta state.

CONCLUSION
Igbanke is an Ika speaking community in Orhionmwon local government, Edo state
We, the people Igbanke are gradually losing our linguistic and cultural identity as a result of our forceful membership with the Binis through conquest.
If urgent measures are not taken, our linguistic and cultural identity would sooner than later go into sudden extinction. In order to avoid the impending extermination of our race, we therefore, ask that a local government area be created that would consist of Igbanke and other Ika speaking communities in Edo state.
Alternatively, if local government creation is not feasible or possible, Igbanke, should therefore, be severed from Edo state and merged with Ika south local government area in Delta state.
