“I Know Where Buhari’s Wealth Is Hidden” – Fayose

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state, says he knows the location of the hidden assets of President Muhammau Buhari.

Fayose, who’s unimpressed with the public assets declaration of the President, described the move as as a ploy to get “the applause of the gullible”.

The governor also warned the All Progressives Congress not to provoke him to reveal the hidden assets of their members.

Fayose released a statement on Wednesday, through Lere Olayinka, his spokesman.

“We know where everybody, including President Buhari’s wealth are hidden, and the APC should not provoke the governor to such an extent that he will begin to reveal their hidden assets,” he said.‎

“Nigerians demanded that President Buhari must declare his assets publicly because that was what the President promised when he was seeking the people’s votes. “It was part of President Buhari’s electoral promises that his assets will be declared publicly and up till today, he has not done that.

We have only been told that the President, whom they said was poor to the extent that he had to take bank loan to buy his party’s nomination, is now the owner of a mini estate in Asokoro, Abuja that is worth over N3 billion.

“The APC should rather explain to Nigerians how a man they said had no houses anywhere apart from Daura and Kaduna suddenly became owner of houses and landed properties in Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

“They should also tell Nigerians what happened when President Buhari headed Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) and why they lied to Nigerians that the president was poor, thereby obtaining Nigerians’ votes by trick.”‎

I Was So Nervous – Toolz Shares Her Feelings From Her Introduction (More Photos)

Media personality Toolz had her official Introduction Ceremony to Capt. Tunde Demuren a few days ago and taking to her personal website, the OAP gave an insight into her day.

She wrote:

Ishhh is getting real!!
Can’t believe I’m going to be a married woman, it’s all so terribly grown up lol.

I didn’t want to put up anything on my site, but I’m trying to make it a bit more personal, so let’s see how this goes.

Anyhoo, so on Saturday 5th September, I had my introduction. This is where the families of the bride and groom officially meet. We had expected about 100 people, I hear there were about 250 people there! Eeek!!

I didn’t sleep well the night before, because I was so nervous and I really didn’t know what to expect. I’ve been to events like this before, but I’m generally in a corner somewhere just observing.

Today the attention was all on me…and that was so unnerving! I’m used to being on stage, but then work-mode has been activated, so in my mind its all about work.

I was so nervous, couldn’t eat…also because I was paranoid that I would get food stuck in my braces and would end up having lots of pictures with efo (spinach) hanging from my teeth lol.

I worked myself up so much that I ended up developing a nervous tick. My right eye twitched for hours and I could barely stop myself from freaking out….but when I saw him aka Bae the twitching stopped…(and the crowd went awwww!)

All thanks to God!
Much love to family and friends for making it all happen, looking forward to Part 2 & 3!

"UNICAL Raping Dean: A Cry For Help!"

$

I believe by now you all must have read the story of Prof.Ndifon the Dean of law university of calabar who was accused of raping a 400 level student of same faculty.if not follow this link..

http://www.nairaland.com/2586555/dean-faculty-law-unical-accused

This post was ignited by response from people who believe that the dean is been set up, I believe its high time Nairaland and Nigerian authorities know about the man called prof Cyril ndifon the Dean Faculty of Law University of Calabar.

First if you come in contact with a law student or a friend to any body who has dealings with the faculty of law university of calabar, will strongly attest to the fact that the faculty has turned to a Red Zone for female students, this is not unconnected with the daily activities of prof Ndifon who takes delight in Raping students, what makes his worst from other lecturers is that he does not hide his acts from people..he flagrantly displays his randy tendencies from classroom to his office which is his ''Slaughter House''.
His mode of operation includes failing students, tearing scripts in exam hall, omitting of results, direct request to either take things to his office or cleaning the office. When such students approach him he will keep them in line and ask them to come in one after another, and you are asked to either sleep with him or give him mouth action while he refiles his energy with a chilled Can of Stout beer which he has in abundance in his refrigerator, in his own words he will say '' Relax let me take a Stout''.....It should be noted that this acts of his are not done once In a while but its done daily including saturdays where he usually set classes or test.

A walk down to his office one afternoon was a gory sight as a lecturer was seen blocking the door while a female voice was heard screaming for help inside the Dean's office, we waited at a corner to see the end and behold a female law student came out crying with her skirt in shreds..thus this is a usual thing to see within the faculty complex, you can only help but pity the victims, the situation is made worst by the fact that he brags before students that he is untouchable been a professor of law.
On a normal day the Professor of law should be drunk before 1pm while the chasing and raping of anything on skirt begins from 1.30 pm to 7 pm when he retires back home, this same professor sometime last year raped a student he offered a lift in his car in broad day light and asked her out of the car (hyundai ix35) when he was done, five girls from my set were raped in his office, it is worthy of note that he does not do hotels but uses his office during official hour and sometimes recruiting the help of staffs (esp his cliq of friends) to help in holding the door where any girl tries to be stubborn. sometimes we feel he is possessed or something but what we do not get is why the School authorities are keeping mute over the issue..the life of an average female law student in the faculty is that of misery as a lot have suffered greatly in the hands of the ''take a stout'' professor, many dropped the program, many repeated and are still repeating, many managed to graduate with 3rd class.

Am using this medium to call on the appropriate authorities to come to the rescue of students in that faculty and also to parents to desist from sending their wards to the faculty to study law until something is done, because that your precious daughter might just be the next to test the strength of a Professor of Law powered by Foreign Extra Stout.

A "Super-Sweet" Collection Of Hausa Proverbs

$

There is the tendency among 'ignoramuses' to regard the Hausas and in fact all black-men, as silly and unintelligent. Far from this, the 'blacks'/Hausas have a very wonderful imagination and great intelligence. we(the blacks) probably have better and deeper proverbs that the "whites". To prove this, I have decided to take my time to pick most of these lovely proverbs from a book written by G.merrick and some few others from the elders...

I doubt if there is anyone who doesn't love proverbs. To me, a proverb is much more than a "sauce" in a conversation, it is a special gift bestowed on mankind.

Here are 50 lovely Hausa proverbs for your reading pleasure.

1.) Maichi da uwa ba shi kuka 'n soodi.

Meaning: He who eats with his mother will not have to ask for the soodi, for she will give it to him as a matter of course.

Soodi- the surplus or remainder of anything. The usual way of eating is for everyone to dip his hand in turn into a calabash until the food is finished: the scrapings are the soodi, and this the child of the house would naturally get.

2.) Rua ba su yami banza.

Meaning: Water does not get bitter without a cause.

There is reason for everything

3.) Ba don “rigan'n domin” ba, da mutum ya mutu masiachi.

Meaning: If it were not for riga'n domin a man(a fellow) would die poor.

Riga'n domin, because of some one else, for someone else's sake, thrugh someone else's influence.

Na shigga “riga'n domin" wuri'n Abdu.

Meaning: I got it through Abdu.

4.) Makafo ya rassa ido, ya che ido na wari.

Meaning: The blind man lacks eyes, he says eyes stink.

5.) Idan rua ya zubar, ya ber tulu, ya yi keau.

Meaning: Even if the water is spilt, as long as the tulu is not broken, no harm.

Tulu- the jar used for carrying water from the well or stream; it has a small mouth. Different districts have different patterns.

Don't cry over spilt milk. That can be remedied

6.) Ba domin tsawo akanga wata ba

Meaning: The moon is not seen because of great stature.

It is by no merit of yours that you have done that. Anyone can do it.

7.) Fawa biu tana bata hankali'n kuda.

Meaning: Two pieces of meat confuse the mind of the fly.

To hesitate between two things, two cources, etc

8.) Mai akwia ya yi taffia derri, bale mai kua.

Meaning: If the owner of a goat is not afraid to travel by night, why should the owner of a hyena be(seeing that night is the usual time for a hyena to move about).

9.) Da ayi jiranka ga abinchi, gara akayi ka jira'n abinchi.

Meaning: Better that you should be made to wait for food than that food should be made to wait for you.

10.) Mai tambaya ba shi bata, sai dei asheerinsa ka tonoa

Meaning: He who asks does not go wrong, but his secret is dug up.

The first part of this proverb is very commonly used by itself with the meaning, "Always ask if you are in doubt."
The meaning, as it stands, is--before you ask for information, be quite sure that it will not give away your object, i.e. If you wish to conceal it

11.) kunkurru ya so dambe, ba shi da yasa

Everything has its own peculiar uses

Appointments: Buhari Has Violated Laws — Senators (Nigerian Tribune)

SENATORS are angry over the refusal of the presidency to subject nominees into appointive offices to screening and confirmation processes before they are asked to assume office, with many of them declaring that what is fast becoming a fad under the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is an affront on the legislature.

The lawmakers, who spoke under strict condition of anonymity, insisted that the decision by President Muhammadu Buhari to name some appointees without a recourse to the Senate was not only a violation of the laws, but also a way of tying the hands of the Senate in confirming such appointments.

President Buhari had named the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in acting capacity, besides the appointment of the board of the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) and the chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) before referring them to Senate for confirmation.

The president also named appointees to the National Communications Commission (NCC) without confirmation by the Senate.

Presidential Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, two weeks ago, said the letter requesting the confirmation of AMCON appointees had been prepared in readiness for dispatch to the Senate.

Sources in the Senate, however, said the lawmakers were angry that their powers to dispassionately assess the nominees were being eroded, as the appointees had already assumed office, started drawing salaries and allowances and had also started implementing policies.

“It is wrong for an appointee, who is supposed to be confirmed by the Senate before appointment, to assume office and then come for confirmation. In such situation, the man is already enjoying the pecks of office and the confirmation is being made to look like a fiat accomplished,” one of the senators said.

The lawmaker said the general opinion among his colleagues was to lay ambush for those who had assumed duties before their confirmation by the Senate.

“Notwithstanding the argument being held on to by the Presidency, the fact is that the Senate was not set up as a rubberstamp institution.

“The Senate should be in a position to confirm or reject a nominee and it is absurd for the nominee to appear before the Senate for confirmation with all the paraphernalia of the office he is seeking,” another senator said.

“You don’t see this in the United States of America from where we borrow our democracy. Appointees are grilled by the Senate and the chamber reserves the right to reject anyone without ruffling feathers.

“In our case, however, once any of these nominees is rejected, the media would shout it that Senate removes Buhari’s nominee. It’s unprecedented and uncalled for,” another senator said on Tuesday.

A senator further said the appointments by Buhari amounted to a violation of the constitution, since the appointees had resumed office and started acting before their appointments were confirmed by the Senate.

According to him, the constitution provided that the appointments shall be subject to Senate confirmation, adding that it was absurd that some of the appointees had started spending money from the office before their confirmation.

“What we are seeing concerning these appointments amount to an offence and gross breach of the constitution. I am aware that senators are peeved by this conduct and there is the thinking that some of those who have assumed office might have disqualified themselves.

“The lawmakers consider the development as an abuse of their respect for Buhari and that the act is undermining the Senate,” a senator in the know said.

Another senator said tough questions actually await any nominee who assume office before clearance by the Senate, adding that the lawmakers would be tempted to ask why they needed Senate confirmation after they had assumed duty.

“They will also be asked what legal grounds they relied on to assume duty when the Senate was yet to confirm them,” a source in the legislature said on Wednesday.

Rejoinder To 'When A University Degree No Longer Guarantees A Job'

I have been shying away from posting a reply on here since the topic surfaced earlier today, having somewhat found myself at this same crossroad since passing out of nysc two months ago, I didn't feel worthy to claim to have answers to the concerns raised by those two brothers. Albeit, mine tends to be a matter of ambivalence at the moment, wouldn't want to talk about myself here tho.

My two pence... True life story...

Last two days, I found myself inside a klimanjaro fast food, after a hot and usually exhaustive aptitude test somewhere in the southern part of the country, trying to cool off. Somewhere on the south wall of the restaurant had a board hanging, with a caption "OUR STORY" a short write up about how the klimanjaro most of us used to impress babes those days back in school was a brainchild of a few young Nigerians and bla bla, I bent down and asked myself, so why spend close to 5k on transport and almost sustained a hip dislocation on terrible roads just to sit for another frustration in the guise of a recruitment test? Coincidentally just this same week a cousin of mine quit her IT job at a local fast food place, her reason....stress, guess what, she works in the account section, on probing further she revealed this people make a subtle 900k a day, and it's just one of their many outlets, I smiled and told her she wouldn't understand, she's still in school and would definitely get cash for all her needs including hairdo by September.

Summary of my long story.......I have decided, no more job tests, no more unsolicited cv submissions, and don't mistake me, I don't despise salary jobs, I'll gladly accept to grow working for someone else, but am no longer going to beg for it. I join my voice to that of many young and knowledgeable young people out there to ask......hw can with all my numeracy, all my computer skills, all my analytical skills, good command of English, I am to be put through scorn in the name of recruitment and I have to be grateful if I get one at last?

I have decided to explore my inner self, does it mean with all I know I can't solve any of the problems I join every other person to complain about everyday? There must be something I can do to make some cash and invest same into acquiring some real hands on technical skills, which has always been my passion, while relying totally on God, the giver of all things.

Any like minded youngsters should start developing same mentality too, no matter how difficult that seems. God bless us all.

Protest Over Female Student's Electrocution: UNILAG Shuts Down Indefinitely

The management of the University of Lagos has closed down the school, following the protests that broke out on Wednesday.

Students barricaded the entrance of the school premises, as they expressed their anger over the death of their colleague, Oluchi Anekwe, who was electrocuted on Tuesday night in front of New Hall of residence in the institution.

It was a scene of chaos, as the students chanted wildly and some of them waved leaves and sticks.

DAILY POST recalls that a female student of the school was killed by high tension cable in front of Sodeinde Hall of residence on the campus.

It was gathered that the female student was walking along the “New Hall” bus stop when a high voltage electric cable fell off the pole, striking her to death.

The student was immediately rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), but gave up before the ambulance conveying her could reach the hospital.

Although firefighters were called to the scene, they soon left after taking the victim from the scene, leaving the entire area without cordoning it off or placing caution tape around it.

True Love Story: The Pretty Banker Who Married A Danfo Driver (Photos)

Editor’s note: This is a story @Blacknosee shared with me last year but somehow I never got around to publishing it. Today, he is celebrating his wedding anniversary and to celebrate with them, I am putting this out – to encourage someone out there and to, hopefully, send a message to both ladies and gentlemen of this generation and many others to come.

This is more than a love story, it’s a life story of patience, virtues, hard work, trust in God and choosing quality over quantity in relationships.

Chris Ade’s Story:

I was an active member of my students union in my days in UNIBEN, from 1988 to 1992, I took a Bsc Economics & statistics degree and then ended up in Elf Petroleum on Kofo Abayomi, Lagos where I worked in the Information Systems and Telecommunications department. This was my invite into postgraduate in Computer Science, which I excelled in with honours.

My good fortune changed in 1994 when my contract was not renewed because Elf Was facing an uncertain future in Nigeria.

I was just 25 years old and just when I started thinking my life was settling into a nice rhythm, it was punctuated by this unfortunate event. Days turned into miserable months as I couldn’t secure another job. Eventually, I lost my flat and had to move in with a friend.

At the time, I had become a committed Christian worshiping in Winners Chapel, Raji Oba, Lagos. I learnt from Bishop Oyedepo that there’s is no food for the lazy so I secured N190,000 loan and got an L 300 Mitsubishi bus (danfo).

I drove my bus and got a conductor but discovered I could control my money if I conducted myself. (Bless ‘Friday’ my conductor when I started, he couldn’t believe I will survive).

It was t this time my girlfriend of 5 years from university ditched me.

But, fate was kind to me. About this time, I met the woman who would eventually become my wife.

Foluke and I met in church. We were both members of a service group (Sanctuary keepers) and true to form, Foluke loved the TOILETS Sub unit of the group. I spent time observing her but did not approach her as I had my handicap of no job and have lost my house.

She was also very reserved and well mannered, very beautiful and humble, plus, her love for God was evident.

When I eventually asked her out, she was aware I had lost my job and accommodation but was in the search for something new and I shared the idea of starting a danfo business, which she supported.

What was more interesting was she had other suitors and some with very professional background, putting pressures on her as she was from a middle class background. Her parents were heads of institutions and my danfo driving did not conform to her world… but she gave up and joined me.

She was also a banker with then Equity bank, she managed the shipping desk in Marina and my bus route was Ikeja to CMS, so this gave my wife the opportunity to join my bus if she misses her staff bus. The preference she gets is she sits in the front and pay her N50.

Ok, back to my job search. You see, my desire for excellence meant that I could not compromise my standard. Opportunity arose from my contacts to engage in businesses that had corruption written all over them, I mean government contracts etc, which would mean giving and receiving bribes to push my project through, but I rejected them.

Long story short, I had the opportunity to travel to England as my younger brother had travelled two years before. That was when I discovered that my girlfriend was born abroad but never thought of living abroad. The relationship between this ‘danfo’ driver and Lagos banker blossomed even more. We courted for almost two years. Proper Christian courtship, no sex but prayers and proper social networking and interaction.

I proposed to her in church and against all odds, she accepted.

We layed the foundation for a marriage and on 11/04/99, I departed for England. On the first of September 1999, she joined me and we got married on the 10th of September 1999.

Two events always come to mind. Our desire to live happy within our means. Our wedding in the United Kingdom at the time cost a total of £400.00 with 25 guests. Foluke had a budget of £100.00 because we had limited funds at the time. Secondly, we were sure that God is on our side and if we work hard we will get all the world has.

We were blessed with Samuel (our first child), two years after marriage and bought our first property after.

14 years of belief and help from God means we enjoy a successful marriage with Foluke, remaining my pretty princess.

It’s been a journey. When I look back to what Jehovah brought us through, it can only be God.

I remember days when my wife refused to listen to anybody, saying to me by her actions that she believed in me. She saw the best in me when everyone surrounding me could only see the worst in me.

What was obvious was that she was mine and I was hers and it did not matter what anyone thought of her. We started rebuilding,
both returning to Universities in England for postgraduate studies. We became blessed with Samuel Anjolaoluwa and David Iyanuoluwa.

With all this started our journey into properties and investments from Lekki in Lagos to prime location’s in London.

Today, I hold down a top government position (in the UK) and my darling impacts her mathematics knowledge unto children up to A level. We have been blessed. Both boys attend top schools with excellent grades. Only God can take the glory.

Reports from Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, has it that thieves have invaded houses of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, delegates who are expected to vote for aspirants contesting the party’s governorship primaries.

A delegate, In Lokoja Local Government Area’s Ward C, Suleiman Ibrahim, informed DAILY POST that his residence was ransacked and family members subjected to thorough search in a bid to collect the supposed money that might have been given out by the party.

DAILY POST correspondent in Lokoja reports that postponement of the primaries has thrown a lot of people off balance, especially the delegates and anxious party members.

Several delegates, especially those outside the state capital, complained of harassments by hoodlums who believe they have been given loads of money to vote for certain aspirants.

“No body gave us money because it was not clear if the primary election was going to hold”, Adejo Onoku, a delegate from the Eastern flank of the state lamented.

Thugs were spotted around the stadium area close to Lugard Road, keeping vigil on the delegates who might stray to spend part of their largess at the many bars in the area.

'What Has Soundcity Ever Done For P-Square?': Soundcity TV Replies Peter Okoye

$

In a statement titled 'What has Soundcity ever done for P-Square?' which they shared on their website a few minutes ago following Peter Okoye's outburst on Twitter today, the music station said they stopped airing PSquare's music video since January this year & explained why. Read below

For 10 Years, @SoundcityTV has been a huge supporter of #PSquare and the #PSquare brand, right from their 1st music video to the last video released in 2014. Most of their videos got massive airplay on @SoundcityTV than any other music channel.

@SoundcityTV viewers sometimes complain about the dominance of #PSquare videos on the channel & charts. We were a huge supporter and gave everything to their works.

We have assisted the #PSquare brand, toured with them over Africa at our expense. Gave them ad-spots for their events / projects. Gave them prime time slots for their videos and included them in our array of Programmes / programming.

We invited #PSquare to one of our annual events last December 2014 and they insisted we pay a certain amount of money. We reasonably asked, what is the least we can offer?; this was us foregoing the fact that we had invested a lot in #PSquare’s career as music talents / artistes & entertainers.

The feedback was, “WHAT HAS SOUNDCITY EVER DONE FOR PSQUARE? TELL ME ONE THING SOUNDCITY HAS EVER DONE FOR PSQUARE” (Jude Okoye, Manager).

While we understand that this is business, there is also room for special consideration. Saying our TV brand has never done anything for #PSquare was quite damning. Clearly, there was no need to argue with their decision and reasoning. We decided to stop ‘doing anything’ with/for #PSquare, since our 10years of supporting the group meant nothing to them. We assumed our relationship was a mutually beneficial one, but clearly one-sided.

Ultimately, #PSquare music videos stopped airing on @SoundcityTV since January 01, 2015. Soundcity reserves the right to air music videos on our cable / satellite or terrestrial platforms.

Overall, we wish the duo the best in their endeavours. @SoundcityTV will keep airing works of the best and upcoming Nigerian artistes, and also, the best #African artistes to the world, especially nurturing their talents from inception till they become huge megastars and international superstars.
Thank you.

I can't imagine moving from my departure point since 1pm yesterday and still here 3pm today. The traffic is actually on the road since yesterday. It is locked, no movement!
This road is a death trap, I can't imagine why it has been neglected by the government since this while.
This is the state of the sitting president of the senate and yet, it has not even been mentioned.
I've gotten to Ilorin since 9pm yesterday and as I type this my point is still bode saa'du(3:03 pm)
I know the some government officials pass through here, pls its now a problem. we can't bear it. just come to our aid ( not all of you fly).
This traffic is from olooru( Ilorin) down to jebba and its been locked. no movement!
I'm just stranded here, can't bath, can't eat good food and not even fine ladies... ( scratch that last, I'm no womanizer ).

The compassionate Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has reached out to the survivors of the 12 men who were slain by members of Boko Haram at Mubi, Taraba State in Januray 2014 and awarded scholarships to their children.
In a most horrifying killing spree, the members of the Boko Haram jihadists had slain 12 men who all hailed from Adazi Nnukwu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The casualties – Amaechi Onwudike, Obinna Akuwke, Osita Aforka, Ukamaka Aforka, Uchenna Okpala, Ugochukwu Ezenwekwe, John Obiakonwa, Patrick Agbachi, Job Mgbemena, Bede Anagbado and Sunday Okoye were gunned down when they gathered in the house of one Mr. Simeon Asoh, a fellow towns man who has been killed the previous day by the same sect members, to deliberate on his burial plans.

The brutal murder of the victims plunged their families into the wilderness of want and deprivation, threatening the education of their children.
But in a clear demonstration of his increasingly familiar humane side, Governor Obiano has handed scholarships to the children to ensure that their education and proper development is not truncated by the sudden death of their fathers.

The children of the Boko Haram victims were among the 82 students and pupils who received scholarship funds and incentives totalling about 11 million naira from the governor as a humanitarian gesture.

Other beneficiaries include the highly promising students of Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha who represented Nigeria at the World Schools Debating Championship in Singapore this year as well as some students living with disability.

Other categories beneficiaries include the children of the late former commissioner for science and technology, Mr. Chike Okoli and the children of other citizens of the state who died in active service.

Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, Governor Obiano explained that the gesture to the children of Boko Haram victims was in keeping with his resolve to always remain sensitive to the pulse of Ndi Anambra and to ensure that no Anambra child is denied education on the basis of their inability to pay the school fees.
“I am very proud that for the past three years, Anambra has remained tops in both WAEC and NECO exams. We are continuing to build solid foundations for such progress to continue. It is also an opportunity to sympathize with Ndi Anambra that were forced to come down here because of the challenges we are having in the North-East geopolitical zone of the country and to show them that we share in their losses. Before now, we have been distributing food items to them and this largesse is to tell them that we are not going to leave them,” said the Governor.

Earlier the Commissioner for Education, Professor Kate Omenugha said the State Education Sector was able to register numerous landmarks because the Governor has remained committed to the academic development of the students as well as the welfare of the teachers.
Said she, “Since this administration came into office, it has distributed over 30 million naira in scholarships. Some of these scholarships were inherited from the past administration and in the light of continuity, it upheld them while instituting others through the Ministry of Education.
This edition is unique in that it encompasses special students in keeping with the present administration’s commitment to ensure that the learning needs of all are met irrespective of status”.

Some of the beneficiaries including Master Chiagozie Udorji, an SS1 student of Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha who was part of Nigeria’s Contingent to the 2015 World School’s Debate Championship in Singapore and Kelvin Anozie, a student of ANSU who is on scholarship for emerging the overall best Igbo student in the 2008 WAEC Exam.

Also speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Kelvin Anozie said the investment made in the education sector was the driving factor behind their successes and assured that they would continue to utilize the scholarship to make the state proud.

In an emotion-laden voice, one of the widows from Adazi-Nnukwu who received incentives on behalf of her five children, Mrs Agatha Aghachi noted that since she lost her husband, life has been hard for her and her children and assured that the funds would go a long way in supporting her children’s education, describing Governor Obiano as a true leader who has the welfare of his people at heart.
